Anyone know anything about these really loud explosions in the Shoreline/ Smith Mountain area for the last 2 weekends? This doesn't sound like fireworks... more like Dynamite.

Could this be the reason? Our place is on Smith Mountain but I haven't been there since Memorial Day. I live in smith mt.estates and I heard it too,last saturday nite rite after dark.thaught it was fireworks from party @ chimney rock ,but found out that got canceled.it was loud and sounded like someone enjoying them self!
