Just saw him on CNBC where they actually ask some meaningful intelligent questions. He's bright, extremely articulate and positive. I sure hope he's on the ticket.

I saw the same ... very quick, easy to understand and believe answers.   I hope he is the VP pick as well.   I think Romney will wine reguardless, but he will seal the deal.  Just like blacks went for Oblamer, Latino's will go for Rubio.  He is the son of a bartenter and maid ... he knows that the GOP believe in providing opportunity to achieve what you want ... you don't need the government keeping people down so they keep voting for the hand feeding them.

It is sad to see people believe that is a positive thing ... it says a lot about their intelligence.

I believe that Romney’s shortfall is that he is not as charismatic as most politicians.  We’ve seen that charisma is not solving our county’s problems.  Romney KNOWS how to solve our economic and, through cause-and-effect, our employment issues.

Rubio is much more captivating in relating to the media.  He is pragmatic with respect to the immigrant (and other social) issues.  It’s nice that he is a good political choice… but, he is also qualified to be president.

We’ve had enough arrogance and showmanship.  America has fallen from grace because of it.  This round we had better elect a president who knows what’s going on and how to fix it.

Reagan was NOT experienced on foreign policy.  He chose well qualified persons to advise and handle.  Two of his worthy traits were that he LISTENED and he DELIGATED… wisely.  Voilà, Romney had to do this in his successful business profession.  Evidence… see if he picks Rubio… or Ryan… or Rice.

On a light note, did you notice that the Republican nominee and the three you mention as possible runing mates have surnames beginning with "R", as does a revered former Republican president?  Probably nothing to it but maybe a good omen....

Unfortunately, U.S. foreign policy changes little from an incoming president as the candidate doesn't understand the establishment ways. Most U.S. policy is controlled by the Council on Foreign Relations, which in turn, influences an incoming president before they take office. The CFR is sort of a who's who organization of "people in the know" when it comes to global ecomonic and military issues. The largest official meeting of CFR members is the annual Bilderberg conference. The latest meeting was last month. For as a Romney's VP pick, the recent Bilderberg conference talked a lot about Mitch Daniels. However, It is up to the Romney campaign to decide. Both Romney and Rubio attended Bilderberg although there was no MSM coverage of it. Most political attendees sneak into the place as to not incriminate themselves. If it weren't for activists using spy tactics to investigate the meeting, the attendees would remain unknown. The reason the Bilderberg conference is so secretive is because it most definately influences foreign political decisions of foreign officials and that is illegal to do under the Logan Act of 1799. Enforcement of the law is basically ignored in modern U.S. history. Research it! Many of Romney's appointments will come from CFR members, just as Obama's appointments did. The CFR is non-partisan except they do sway from one party to another depending on who they feel can be influenced to accomplish their global agenda. This election cycle it is swaying to Romney.

I like Daniels and it is another toss up state ... Florida looks to be in the bag, but Rubio would definitely win the Latino vote.

I hope you are right about this election cycle.  Withe the executive order sealing the documents that Holder would not release definitely smells of something.  A lot of speculation about a watergate type cover-up.   Especially when Obama campaigned on transparency and not hiding behind executive order ... yet uses it quite freely trying to make his own laws or change existing ones.  I guess that was the Chicago way or the way his dictator idols rule.

It's interesting last night we were talking about Romney's VP pick. The news this morning is that the VP pick may not be Romney's ultimate decision. It could come to a delegate vote. Romney will probably announce a VP before the convention. That would set public opinion and unfortunately the majority of voters are ignorant to the delegate process. Because of this news, this may be why Romney keeps saying he is not for a $1 trillion budget cut... Because that was Paul's budget plan. An interesting person to listen to about delegate strategy is Doug Wead.

Well, helz bels, I may just fashion a tin foil hat, start my own choom gang, and sit the rest of the summer out. I think even luaP noR is more disciplined than to foment chaos at the GOP convention. On the other hand, his faithful see this as their only opportunity to force Republicans to adopt and incorporate the old mans positions in the party platform. I am excited about the possibilities, yet concerned about the downside potential.

To Paulistas, establishment Republicans are not conservative enough. One may say that they are libertarian and that is true. How Americans define liberal and conservative has greatly changed over the past 60 years. The Republican party was the epitome of libertairanism in 1955. Read George H. Nash's book "The Conservative Intellectual Movement in America Since 1945". It explains how the GOP lost fiscal conservatism in the 1960s. That is the reason David Nolan formed the Libertarian Party in 1971 and defined how personal and economic freedom relate to neo-liberal and neo-conservative views. Is Romney more conservative than Obama? To replace the $1.7 Trillion ObamaCare plan with $2 Trillion in additional military expenditures (for the same 10 year period) is not really fiscally conservative. That may mean jobs to some people, but we live in a time when military intervention is causing more problems than it solves. That is one thing Paulistas are outraged about. Regulatory enforcement will be more conservative under Romney. I think the police state will be as large and authoritarian under Romney as Obama but not worse. Voting for the Libertarian Party candidate is futile. Paul learned that in his 1988 run as the Libertarian Party nominee. The only way we will see conservative change in our lifetime is to influence the Republican Party. Personally, I'd like to see a liberty movement in the Democratic Party too, but that party is not as conducive to smaller government at this point in history. Military spending drives both parties into fiscally unsound budgets. I'm not going to sit hear and plead that case. But I will recommend reading some books by Stephen Kinser. One that is particularly good is "Overthrow: America's Century of Regime Change from Hawaii to Iraq". The more I read about U.S. history the more screwed up I realize things are.

Good post. Absolutely understand the frustration with the two parties as am spiritually aligned with libertarians. Read the Nash book, will follow up on the Kinser title. Have to careful as some of the words in the title are on the DHS watch list.

I didn't say anything about getting Hispanic vote. I just think he has a great story that anyone can relate to.
