I had to chuckle today when the SCOTUS decision on AZ immigration law came down ... you know the one that the guy in the WH sued one of our states for inacting a law since the federal government was not doing their job ... yeah, that one.
Well my home page is MSN, that links to MSNBC and the headline was SCOTUS strikes down AZ law. Then I looked at CNBC to see impact on the market, and the headline was SCOTUS Upholds Major component of AZ law and throws out 3 lesser parts.
So then I go to FOX ... they really are fair and balanced with their headline ... SCOTUS provides split ruling on AZ immigration law. They did a great job explaining what was upheld (which really is the meat of the law).
We know Oblamer was ticked off ... I read his sorry speech and talking about violating the civil rights of americans .... someone needs to tell this turd that they are NOT americans, they are illegal immigrants. Most have no problem at all with people immigrating to the US legally.

Try convincing a conservative there are really news agencies that attempt to be fair and balanced and they will give you a big "YABUT." After the YABUT they will find some obscure fact that was overlooked and say how wrong you are.

Our local organ, the Marietta Daily Urinal headline was that SCOTUS vacated majority of the law which was directly from the AP. On the bottom they had a local article article quoting Georgia GOP reps saying the ruling was very positive because it allowed the most important aspect to be retained.
No doubt this was a split decision and a somewhat strange one from my amateur perspective. It is mystifying that the court would say a state is violating federal law by trying to enforce federal law. It doesn't get any stranger than that, unless you have the 9th Circus of Appeals court in which case anything can happen.
Either way, Arizona can now implement the checking of the immigration status of individuals they stop and when they actually apply the law that will trigger the next round of lawsuits. These will be about racial profiling.

I wish some one since I cannot figure it out, what is the difference between good police work and racial profiling. If the large percent of ILLEGALS are from hispanic what is wrong with stopping them. For example if you had been bitten in the past by a pit bull dog ,,,wouldn't you start being careful around pit bull dogs. Not profiling just good sense. Maybe I'm wrong but please explain to me.

It is like TSA at the airport ... all terrorist activities have been Islamic muslims ... yet the are hell bent on pulling grandmothers and businessmen over to do body searches as they allow individuals with towels on their head to walk through, just so they are not accused of racial profiling.
We should racial profile ... sorry if the majority of illegals are mexican and a few get pulled over that are legal. They let their homeland to come here ... their should be proud to show that they came here legally.
The same goes for terrorist activities ... not our fault that all the terrorist attacks against the US on our soil and other countries have been done by Islamic Muslims. Sorry if that offends the good ones ... but again, you left your home land to come to the US ... their are Islamic Muslims that want to do harm to the US, be proud you are not one of them.

Profiling (not just racial) is based upon a preponderance of evidence and upon certain behaviors. Put a cherry jelly bean in a bowl of licorice jelly beans. If you hate the flavor of cherry... how long will it take you to focus on the red one?

Zimmerman immediately becomes a racist.
NOTE: Zimmerman is a German, Jewish name. Mr. Zimmerman is a Hispanic, Catholic. In the U.S. Hispanics are treated as non-white.
Because I am a white male… I can be accused of being racist for making any of these comments!
