That was sick even for a bunch of lawyers. That island was started and maintained by CHILDREN! Hundreds of CHILDREN take pleasure in it EVERY weekend.
Myself and thousands of others would appreciate it if you and your sick friends would just stay the he11 away from it.
I saw the sick sign on the 4th and had other commitments or would have been back to take it down myself. I am glad someone beat me to it.
It was tough trying to explain to the 5 YEAR OLD on the boat with us when we saw it what that was supposed to mean. One of many 5 YEAR OLDS that insist on going by it every time he is on the boat.
Sick chit kizma, even for you. When I saw it I knew you were involved somehow. The fact that you make this post reinforces my belief. Do you not have grandkids? Think of somebody else for a change. I know who you are. Most here know who I am. I have nothing to hide. Do you?

You will never convince me that you, at the very least, didn't know and/or condone the recent sign posting. It was done trying to get under my skin, and it did. Not because of my ego. but because that island is all about kids. When I point that out in a post you post denials, like you are so innocent. You just didn't like that I pointed out how sick the whole thing was and how it affected kids.
Carping and back biting on this forum is one thing, but participating and/or allowing that type of sick chit crosses a line. It wasn't funny, it was disgusting. I know you. You are a better person than that. I know you enjoy your forum persona, but leave it here. Don't let it spill over to Pirate Island anymore, please. As I stated, that whole thing was done BY CHILDREN FOR CHILDREN. Yes, myself and other adults participated, but it is all about the kids. Stealing the pirates and vandalizing the rest is juvenile but tolerable. Posting sick, perverted signs for kids to see crosses a line. In the grand scheme of things if the entire island was cleaned of all pirate regalia it wouldn't rise to the level of being a tragedy worthy of loosing any sleep over. But the island has become a nice attraction for boaters on the north end of the lake. Anyone that doesn't believe this need only to cruise to the area on any Saturday afternoon and watch the traffic go by and the cameras come out.
Why kizma and his crowd have such issue with it is beyond me.

Do I think I know who did it? Yes
But that is not the real issue you put forth. You hava a problem explaining B U T T Pirates to kids.
Well just how do you explain real pirates?
Historical and modern day pirates are BAD GUYS.
I am sure you have read enough history to know that pirates rape steal and destroy property. Pillage and Plunder?
I would suggest that anyone who glorifies historical pirates and goes ballistic about B U T T pirates might be a misogynist.
And maybe children need to be informed about the b pirates. Knowledge and information from parents might make it more difficult for that kind of pirate (think Sandusky) to prey on children.
As far as getting under your skin. You have just broadcast to the culprits that they are getting under your skin.
This will most likely encourage them.
They are BULLYING you and you seem to be powerless to stop them. The things you do make it worse.
Also by blaming me, in spite of the fact that you know someone else did it, you have encouraged all of those who dislike me (and I can assure you there are man) to carry on the caper. If I were one of those people, I would put stuff out there with my name carved in it. Thereby infuriating you and hopefully infuriating me.
You also make these people think they can carry on with impunity because you have pointed the finger in the WRONG DIRECTION.
btw, I notice a pirate there the other day that looked remarkably like Pete. Why did you not mention that. While I was there I saw about 12-20 teens or 20 somethings making their pictures with the pirates ane the B pirate sign.

You are just a sick individual apparently. Have fun. Put anything you want there. My crowd is done with it. But just for the record that was not the new Pete that was placed this year. That was last years pirate that had been dumped on graveyard island, by folks you previously admitted you knew, and even supplied pictures of. I don't think anyone that frequents the forum believes you didn't have anything to do with the debasement of the kids fun.
And no, I don't get into the history of real pirates with a 5y.o.. I didn't mention the other tweens that were on the boat that knew exactly what was meant by the sign. Have your sick fun. It wont bother me one bit, but it will continue to show the world what you are made of, apparently.

Amen!! Well said Lifer! I took that sign down and threw it away. I also repositioned the Pirate that had been stolen. I was glad to see he was returned and that some more beads and a few other improvements were made on the Island since I was there last. Unfortunately, the other Pirate that we put up early this summer, has been stolen ( I know who took it, and I'll email you that info later). It looks pretty good again now and hopefully it will stay that way for a while. I counted at least 10-12 boats going by with kids on Sunday just to enjoy the scene. I'm sure they will always remember Mom, Dad or Grandparents taken them to see Pirate Island on Lake Martin. It would be nice if people would let it be enjoyed and stop destroying it.

As my username suggest, Kizma and I are no more friends than Blackbeard and Lieutenant Maynard, but I don't think it was him. I had my grandkids out on the toon just cruisin. As usual we stopped by Pirate island. There was some skinny old guy about 70 or so in a john boat getting ready to offload onto the place. I assumed it was Lifer or Walter since they are sort of the stewards of the island. The kids were excited, so we stopped to see what new gear was going to be added. Well, about 10 minutes later I realized that this disgusting old man was "Excited" in a different way and I saw what the sign was and sped off as quick as my toon could take me before the kids could see anything awful. It disgusts me that people like that are running around that side of the lake and get off messing with kids heads.
Also, Walter, how is it that you "knew" the pirate was on graveyard island when none of the rest of us had any clue. I am more and more convinced that you are this perv running around this side of the lake. I am going to talk to the marine police about you, because honestly I am afraid for the kids.

You're a sick b@stard. It was me that found last years pirate on Graveyard Island. Actually some guests spotted it as I took them by on a sight seeing tour. I left him there due to the shape he was in. I hope you sick b@stards have fun with the island from now on.

I don't know who took "Pete". That was last summer. This summer,Lifer was nice enough to give me another replacement Pirate, so me and my kids put him up there. Well, believe it or not, I was sitting on my deck up in Madwind creek a few weeks ago and I saw a jet ski slowly passing with what looked like a dog on the back... on closer inspection I saw it was the Pirate!!! Now, the problem with naming names and the reason I didn't earlier is that it was a couple of teenagers that did this. I don't know their names, but I do know which house they went to and I do know the name of the teenager who lives in that house (full time, by the way). Therefore, it was either him or a couple of his equally worthless friends. So you see, it's just not worth stirring up things in my slough over this Pirate thing. Hopefully, these dweebs got their jollies and will move on to vandalizing other things and perhaps even more serious crimes, and someday end up where they belong- like in jail. I have no reason to believe that they took Pete last summer.In fact, my bet is that it wasn't them. If you recall, the dude that stole Pete actually came up with a fairly clever rhyme, which did not amuse me at all, but did prove possession of far greater intelligence than these clowns have. So, I'll leave it at that. The Island looks good now so I'm happy. I think it is becoming a bit of a landmark, and that's why we keep at it. Hopefully other people will continue enjoy it and to contribute things here and there and we can keep ahead of the vandals.
