What can be done... Or who do I report to... The loud boat who insist on playing the "thump thump thump" music at 1am each weekend? The boat is loud... The people are loud... And the music is so loud our house vibrates. We know who it is... Have asked on numerous occations to tone it down but they (HE) continues to do it. I know he's driving and drinking... He flies up full throttle and we're afraid he's going to take out someones dock and kill someone. Every weekend it's the same thing... And I know everyone from Real Island to Little Steel Bridge is as tired of it as we are. Can someone help? We will party with the best of them, but we are also careful and respectful of others. THIS clown is NOT!

Have you called the Marine Police? Not sure if they do routine night patrols but maybe they will come out. Can't understand why if someone is asked to move their party elsewhere they won't do it. Especially if it is a regular occurrence.
I have nice speakers on my Malibu but I won't let my kids play them loud during the day, much less at night.

Last night, They start out in a pontoon boat, then about 12-12:30 they have a loader engine boat that came by and pick them up. Im not sure the color of boat.... By this time of night the contacts are out. 8( Last weekend, a louder boat went round and round before finally heading somewhere else. My moms health hasn't been the best lately, and brought her here for some r & r only to have music blareing. But last weeks boat was a ski boat, I could see that pretty clearly, just not a color. Not 100% positive it was the same boat last night... The engine was different... More like a speedboat. Just wish they'd consider other people at night and 11:00-1:00 or later is not considerant.

Cat, good thing I made note of the hours on the boat before I dropped it off for the wedge repair. If its a black and red Malibu it may have been Cat in my boat making trouble. And they say youth is wasted on the young......definitely not is this case. :-)

Get a semi auto assault rifle and about 2000 tracer rounds. When this is going on go out on your dock and start firing tracer rounds in the air. It is actually great fun.
While you are at the ammo store get about 500 shotgun shells. Don't get target load, get the ones with the most powder. Find out where these people live and the next morning about 5 AM anchor close to their place.
Start firing the shotgun shells. After about 500 shots , 10 gauge works best they will be headed to the Emergency Room because their hangovers and the loud noise will make their heads feel like they are about to burst.
If all of this fails you will have to actually do a little work and build one of these oxy propane cannons. Mount it on your tooner, and visit you friends at 5 AM.

Maybe it's just me, but if I were so inclined to partake in pappy's cough syrup while operating, I would want to draw as little attention to myself as possible...plus, I actually have consideration for other folks...as long as I can hear the music while idling, it's loud enough for me...don't have to hear it underway...but again, maybe that's just me.

I would have thought by now you would be out making huge waves and getting the neighbors to really hate me by now....not knowing it was you.......cause I never make waves just in case some raggedy dock will get more raggedy.

As a "semi-auto assault rifle". By definition, an assault rifle is select fire, it also uses an intermediate cartridge - ie 5.56 X 45 or 7.62 X 39. What most of us buy simply looks like an assault rifle. Going the same route as the 10 Ga. that you are suggesting, I would recommend a 50 cal for the rifle - a Barrett Light 50 should do the trick.
