Subject:   Vandalism

Went to our Lake house this weekend.. Took the covers off our 2 Sea Doo's and discovered that one of them had been vandalized. Looks like they ripped the hood of the Sea Doo off. It was a little off center, when we first looked at it. Then went to lift the hood up and nothing was hold it together. Noticed that the spring that holds the hood to the base was sitting on the side of the sea doo, where your first would rest, and another part not sure what that went to. Took a closer look at the hood and also noticed that the tip of the hood looked like it was a bit bent upwards. So it would appear that they went to lift the hood up quickly so quickly that they ripped the spring hinge completely off and bent the tip. We towed the sea doo over to our Marina to be fixed, we were a bit afraid to start it in case the gas tank was filled with water. We are not sure if they were after the gas or wanting to steal the Sea Doo itself. Talked to the marina they will be looking at the gas tank and inspecting the contents to see if any water was put in... We had read on this forum of boats having their gas taken and replaced with water. Anyone else have any problems??

This is a totally insensitive and idiotic post.  I think it is time for you to find another forum whose members have personalities more compatible with yours.

Why would vandals take the time to re-cover a machine they just vandalized?  PWC's are not that easy to cover quickly, especially if you don't do it on a regular basis.  Who covered the machine last time you know it to have been ridden?  It is possible it may have been damaged and then covered to hide the damage.  Obviously I don't know, but it is worth considering.

that is about what using ignore means.   Of course you could just log in as someone else.

but what you say makes sense.  Also could have been  the wind pulling the cover around caught under the plastic hood and pulled it up.  Would explain all of the parts being there because the cover kept them in.  Occam's Razor would say so.

Suggesting plausible causes for damage that was done and questioned… How is that not sane? I agree with Lifer (unfortunately), I have been a kid and I have dealt with kids and irresponsible adults who will leave “surprises” for you to find…

Actually against Forum Policy In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as a forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[3] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.

Considering all of  the references made regarding docks, bumpers and pet beavers in the past, one must conclude that BigFoot is thinking with his little head, when he complains about my beaver comment.

You might want to check all of lady's posts. "lady of the lake" has made four post on the forum two of them in this thread complaining about someone vandalizing her jet ski.

The other two posts?

The first complaining about someone running with no light on a pontoon boat.  (in a thread that was about running with dock lights on)   In that same thread Mav  made a dock comment.

The second  complaining about someone making waves near her dock.

And at the end of the day, if you think someone has vandalized your jet ski, "CALL THE COPS"  whining on the forum will most likely get you no where.

A lot of your posts over the last few months have gone over the line on this forum. I mean, some of your stuff is just Crude. Keep being controversial. That's OK and makes for good entertainment here.
But, you go too far sometimes. Many times. Dial it back just a bit and continue to let us enjoy your humor.

Are the two Sea Doos of the same make and model?  If not, they may have been looking for engine parts for a specific make and/or model.

Strange they damaged the hood.  Usually one needs only to flip a latch to access the engine.

Hope the marina gets gets your skiis back in order soon.

Kizma Anuice your posts are rude and thoughtless. Sad to see that you obviously do not have anything better going on in your life. Than to sit on this forum and berate others posts.. The fact that you actually spent time to count a persons post and had to find it necessary to comment negatively on each one is pathetic. Yes I do not post a lot. I have a life that I enjoy and do not have that kinda of time to be rude to others. Or most likely I will am enjoying my time on beautiful Lake Martin. The point of my post is to voice a concern. And to find out if anyone else had vandalism to their property. Finally Kizma you may want to re-read the rules for this forum: the first rule is below enjoy..... While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. Our decision is final in these matters.

I would like to be part of "we".  I love a good post that is a bit edgy, it gets things going.  But downright rudeness is different. And action has been taken...The forum goes silent.  I hate to see that.  And I know there are lots of reasons why we (that's you, and lady, and me, and lots of others) do not post on here as much as we once did.

I joined this forum and the Gulf Shores forum on the same day several years ago, thus the alias lakngulf.  For years, the gulf shores forum was infomative, humorous, interesting, etc. Generally a fun diversion for a few minutes.  Over the last two years, however, politics, personal attacks, and downright rudeness have taken its toll, and the forum is almost dead.

I would hate to see that happen to this forum.

And you, Kizma, have been a great contributor.  I am only one person, with one humble opinion, but I would like to see you tone it down a bit, and treat fellow posters with respect.  Make it fun.

What made this thread controversial was my response "someone stole my neighbors pet beaver" Seriously, how do you tone that down. It was an attempt to turn all of the dock, bumper, ho's, and The slightly more suttle "pet beaver" blue comedy into cringe. I attempted this last week with posts about the now jailed girl band "PUSSYRIOT". And a search for "bushmeat". At lakeside restaurants. Those posts were removed. It is not my forum. Why is it ok for some to carry on for years with this stuff and a crime when I do it. Could it be that it is fun to "poke the bear" But not fun if the reaction turns bad for you or your friends. And before anyone say "you're no Coach Bryant", I in no way imply. I always adressed him as Coach and always referred to him as Coach Bryant. Never Bear or The Bear.

I shanked a golf ball into him when I was 12. He never forgot me. I was not good enough to play for him but did tutor some of his guys in math. Coach Bryant warned them not to ply golf with me.

sure did not.   never could spell.   don't mind because there is an inverse relationship between the ability to spell and the ability to understand complex differential equations and/of mechanical relationships.  this was first discovered by private psychometrists,  (spelling dictionaries don't know that word and try to correct it to optometrist or something else)

and if you are still wondering on my disabilities.

DISABILITIES

I am on the wrong side of 40.

I do not draw. A govt check, an insurance check, a private pay disability check

HANDICAP

16 from the member tees,  hope to one day get it down if I can graduate to the GOLDEN CHAMPIONSHIP (yellow)
