Maybe we need a "Stiring the puddin' category, that way those who feel the need to stir can copy/forward the post they want to stir and comment there. If a reader wants to they can just go to that category and see what's been stirred lately. It would leave the Lake Martin Topics for people who need straight answers without all the run away trains. My two cents.

May be good in theory, but would never work since most stirring happens in threads that make sense to be here...... as others have mentioned, best bets are to use the ignore feature or just don't read the posts of those who annoy you.

Would rather not weed through the hijackings to get answers that help the posters and others.Maybe I was wrong and should have suggested a straight talk forum instead for those who visit for help and suggestions.

Well that might work well for someone like you who doesn't know how to do anything and wants free advice on how to get things done cheaply.

But at the end of the day it would fail.  Because the people who can do things don't come here just to tell you how to do it cheap.  They will tell but they would quit coming quickly unless the are just dolts who don't want the guys who come here to "sell" you something to make any money.

the sellers come and dole out advice but eventually lure you into their web, or try to, and you should be lured they need to make a living too and point out all of the ways you will probably screwup before you involve the pay for guys.

But think about the webbie and what pays his bills.  everyone who posts and enjoys the forums should take out an add for some period of time.  If you don't have a business take one out for a business that has given you great service.

I  took my turn and will take one again next spring.  I am working on the add now.

BTW  I don't agree with every thing I post.   I post it to draw attention a lot of the time.  Because I think open forum is good  and the more clicks it get the more the advertisers will pay. And often my posts are removed,  because I post about things that I know people will read the wrong way,  like BUSHMeAT.

OH, and one of my posts(that was deleted) came from a site that Bruce often copies to his FB page,   you know the one about the goat and Obama.  I will try to post a link and pic here.  I wanted Russell Lands to bring in the 'RIOT' a concert next year.

BTW I have not complaints with Bruce, even though he removes some of my posts.

I took the time and read your post even though you made an assumption that I was cheap because I ask for others input. I am not going to be negative back because the post would be hijacked once again which is what you want. Sorry won't play. I have valued what others have shared, it has helped me make decisions, and I have been thanked by others for sharing. Good Luck!

You forgot to close your quotation, and you misspelled stirring. I have corrected those errors and a few more and reposted your message so that people may actually understand what you were trying to say. Maybe we need a "Stirring the puddin' category." That way those who feel the need to stir can copy/forward the post they want to stir and comment there. If a reader wants to, they can just go to that category and see what has been stirred lately. It would leave the Lake Martin Topics for people who need straight answers without all the run away trains. My two cents.

Have you valued anything enough to take out an add and help pay for the ability to get free advice?

I have and will again.

It is put up or shut up time for you.
