We are on a dirt road and part of it is washed out and has been and we are taking on almost all of the water from the road when it rains. The only number I could find online was to the engineers office. I called yesterday morning at 10 and left a message with the receptionist. Someone was going to call me yesterday. Never heard from anyone yesterday or today. I called today at 4 and she said she still has my message on her desk that the engineer didn't come in today. Does anyone have a contact or no someone else I could call?

Why wait until Monday??? If were me, I'd call Todd Adams TODAY!!!! And if I didn't get him on the first call, I'd keep calling him until I did get a hold of him. It's the ole wheel and oil thing if you know what I mean. Sometimes you've got to be a thorn in their side. Call Todd this morning and report back here as soon as you talk with him. My wife used to be on a county commission in Georgia and believe me I know how it works.

The lady that answered at that number said he was a part time commissioner and that he has had a death in the family and wasn't sure if I would be able to reach him today. I'll wait and call him on Monday.

Since you may have to work with the engineer, I would suggest you wait a few hours Monday to see if he calls you before you call Adams.

Cat....I am indeed a lucky man to have a wife (46 years after we said "I Do") that still lets me hand around her. She tried to run me off several years ago, but I'm like an old dog that keeps coming back. I learned a long time ago to bring flowers and cash when I come back. And what's your trick that keeps Dee Dee allowing you to hand around her????

Tad Eason is the county engineer. He is a good man and, I'm sure, help you in any way he can. He may have been off on Friday. Last year when my grandfather passed away and was buried at a church on a rough county road, we gave Tad a call and the road was scraped that day.

Your notice for Property Taxes Due is probably in it. And, in comparison to property taxes around North Shelby County, Coosa is depending on Lake Martin homeowners to carry a lot of the load for whole county. Poor county so I don't complain much. But,,,,, the least we deserve is a little road repair, AND a return call.
If not, show up in Rockford with your tax bill and copies of your attempts to get some action.

when we got to the lake yesterday morning the road had been fixed. In fact, both ends of the road had been fixed (we live on a loop) and I didn't even complain about the other end.

No. No one ever called me back or emailed me. I emailed 3 people. I'm just glad it was fixed.
