The water level was 10' lower than it is today on Lake Martin.....to me, 486+ looks real good for mid October! See the link below for more pictures from Lake Martin the photo gallery and please share any you may have.

I will never forget it. I had to walk out another 75 yards from the normal 480 water mark to get to the water. That was a very bad time for everybody associated with our lake. But, it has rebounded well,,, and life is good.

A lot of folks got really irate but in the overall scheme of life it was just like noise on a radar.  The one good thing that came from it is that Alabama Power now looks a little more carefully at long range weather forecasts and reacts accordingly.

Also on the good side is the Miller Lite beer cans that some fisherman so rudely deposited around my pier have been relegated to the recycle bin and no longer litter the lake bottom. (Neither I nor anyone of my guests drink Miller Lite).
