While Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., was leading a press conference Wednesday to condemn the administration's lack of transparency regarding the attacks in Benghazi, Libya, it turns out he could have been attending a classified briefing on the subject. He needs to hire Sara Palin as his scheduler.

I am quite sure that briefing, if it is even true which I seriously doubt, I can guarantee you that there will be no truth coming out of any briefing. Just more lies from the people that allowed four Americans to be slaughtered to avoid the political fallout. This whole episode is sickening.
People died and Obama lied.
Get used to it GF because as the details come up I suspect soon enough TOTUS is going to invoke executive privilege to avoid responsibility for their deaths.

I certainly agree that the death of 4 Americans is indeed sickening. Sadly, all the committees will not bring them back to their loved ones. After everything is investigated and reports are released, we may have a better understanding of the cause. I think we may find that the Republicans denied an increase in funding to protect the consulates around the world. Time will tell..........

OK GF, tell me exactly how the GOP, who only controls the House and has passed two budgets in two years while Harry Reid hasn't even brought a budget up for reconciliation, much less a vote, and TOTUS's budgets haven't gotten a single vote,Democrat or Republican, could be remotely responsible for a lack of funding. That is so absurd that I fear for your sanity.
The facts are already out there for those with an ounce of intellectual honesty. They begged for help multiple times and were denied that help by someone in the Obama administration. You would think you could put aside your partisanship and maybe out of respect for these dead men want to actually know the truth. And if it turns out Obama had a hand in denying them support I would hope that you would demand his resignation. But someone denied them help and they need to be brought to justice.
This isn't a joke and it isn't worthy of joking. Richard Nixon was forced to resign and no one died. Some idiots broke into an office and his administration tried to cover it up. In this case people died and there has been a cover up. You tell me which is worse and based on your answer we will know if you have sold your soul to the devil.

"You tell me which is worse. " What the he++ do you think my response would break? You know dam well what it is and I don't intend to get into a discussion comparing the tragic death of 4 Americans to Watergate.
I had a difficult time believing this when I read it. There are ramifications to budget cutting.
Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) acknowledged on Wednesday that House Republicans had consciously voted to reduce the funds allocated to the State Department for embassy security since winning the majority in 2010.
On Wednesday morning, CNN anchor Soledad O'Brien asked the Utah Republican if he had "voted to cut the funding for embassy security."
"Absolutely," Chaffetz said. "Look we have to make priorities and choices in this country. We have…15,000 contractors in Iraq. We have more than 6,000 contractors, a private army there, for President Obama, in Baghdad. And we’re talking about can we get two dozen or so people into Libya to help protect our forces. When you’re in tough economic times, you have to make difficult choices. You have to prioritize things.”
For the past two years, House Republicans have continued to deprioritize the security forces protecting State Department personnel around the world. In fiscal year 2011, lawmakers shaved $128 million off of the administration's request for embassy security funding. House Republicans drained off even more funds in fiscal year 2012 -- cutting back on the department's request by $331 million.

His original testimony was that the Benghazi attacks were al Quada and those lines were struck from his testimony. What did the President know and when did he know it? Who authorized the truth being removed from the testimony? This is the Director of the CIA who reports directly to the President. Who is responsible for this cover up and the false testimony? Did they extort that testimony out of Petraeus by threatening to blow the lid on his affair?
Four Americans DIed and Obama Lied........and now we know someone in his administration suborned perjury.
Oh but I forgot, the real news here is that some subcommittee in the House considered reducing security in a budget that was never put into law. Thats the real news here.......I would be laughing if it weren't so pathetic people had not died.
Nixon resigned in disgrace and no one died. The question is whether there is a single Democrat that has a shred of decency to demand Obama leave if we learn what I suspect to be the truth. The Bill Clinton episode does not give me any confidence.

I am more concerned as to why we did not have enough protection and what protection we have today at other consulates around the world. I think the hearings should be on why did it happen and how to prevent future deaths.
This is like a company spending hours developing a 5 year plan when they don't know if they will be in business in the next 6 months with the current political and fiscal issues. Address the immediate and most important issue....are our embassies protected? Then find out if someone llied.

We know why there was not enough protection. It was requested several times of the administration and turned down every time. And we know why they got no assistance other than the CIA guys ignoring orders not to help. They requested it several times and the administration turned them down. And we know now that the administration knew it was an al Quada group and not the lies they told repeatedly for two weeks afterward. And now we know it was the administration that suborned Petraeus's perjury.
These are people that cannot be trusted. These are people that lied and then covered it up. This is 100 times worse than Watergate and we need to know what the President knew and when he knew it. And if he participated in this cover up he should resign. And if he didn't he is the most incompetent President since Jimmy Carter......but we already knew that.

but on September 12th there were several chevy volts delivered to an embassy in Europe. Can't remember which one but I think it was Italy. Also a full compliment of Marines on duty to guard our embassies in very dangerous places like Barbados.
Trying to blame it on lack of funding when the imperial federal government spent 3.2 TRILLION is laughable and pathetic. I almost used the phrase "had budget of" but of course we all no they have been operating without a budget since oblamo started to "rule".
