It seems, to me, Archibelle and Goofy have disappeared at the same time. Is this a coincedence or is it a conspiracy between them? The other possibility is, they have found their true soul mate in each other and have entered into a workable arrangement.

I had just assumed they were at home in the privacy of their rooms looking at photos of their messiah in tight pants and abusing themselvesmwhile saying "Yes we can......yes we can..........yes we..........." But your explanation seems equally plausible. :-) I do think Archie could be GF's alter ego where he can dispense with all humor and just be a mind numbed, mean spirited left wing nut that can be angry all the time and rant and rave about whatever escapes his brain. Jus sayin........
