I just got this email..   I will return, another day.  For now, lemme' go get my "Big Boy" paints on.  CAT WILL BE BACK SOON.  LMAO.  John, you are truley the CHAMP.    At least from the "All talk and NO Bite.  Round Two goes to you my friend.

From the forum.....

The Cat went down to Kowaliga, he was looking for a soul to steal.
He was in a bind 'cos he was way behind and he was willin' to make a deal.
When he came across this young man grillin' on a Egg and runnin' it hot.
And the Cat jumped upon a hickory stump and said: "Boy let me tell you what:
"I guess you didn't know it, but I'm a grillin' feller too.
"And if you'd care to take a dare, I'll make a bet with you.
"Now you make a pretty good rib, ol' boy, but give the devil his due:
"I bet a Traeger of gold against your soul, 'cos I think I'm better than you."
The boy said: "My name's Johnny and it might be a sin,
"But I'll take your bet, your gonna regret, 'cos the Eggs the best that's ever been."

Johnny you go stoke up your Egg and get her smokin' good.
'Cos hells broke loose in Kowaliga and Cat thinks he deals the cards.
And if you win you get this shiny Trager made of gold.
But if you lose, the Cat man gets your soul.

The Cat opened up his Trager and he said: "I'll start this show."
And fire flew from his fingertips as popped in pellets below.
And he pulled a brush across his grate and it made an evil hiss.
Then a bunch of demons joined in and it smelled something like this.
(smell them pellets smoking?)
When the Cat finished, Johnny said: "Well you're pretty good ol' son.
"But sit down in that chair, right there, and let me show you how its done."

Fire in the Eggs Ragin', run boys, run.
The Cat's in the house of the risin' sun.
Steak on the griddle man, coals are a glow
"Granny, does your dog bite?"
"No, child, no."

The Cat bowed his head because he knew that he'd been beat.
He laid that golden Traeger on the ground at Johnny's feet.
Johnny said: "Cat just come on back if you ever want to try again.
"cause I told you once, you son of a gun, the Egg's the best there's ever been."

And he played fire in the Eggs ragin', run boys, run.
The Cats in the house of the risin' sun.
Steak on the griddle man, coals are a glow
"Granny, will your dog bite?"
"No, child,

Wise move. I don't believe it. But a wise move. Cats don't give up. They just lay still and plot their next move.

When a Cat falls, and nobody sees it, does it make a sound.

CAT'S land on all four........  I lay still, as I sharpen my claws.  Meanwhile, BAMA plays in a few, and Ulyssis becomes so NOT important.  He is prolly at Larry's house now, hidin' out.  Call the Police, cause he has pulled' CAT'S tail.

CAT, "Just Clawin'.

MM, you walk by one everytime you come to the Lake Store Showroom.  We sell them new.  It will make you use that Egg for a boat anchor.  By the way, I got your stainless bolts.

They're real easy to miss in a wall flower at the junior prom kind of way....

I've been tellin' Steve for two years he needs to sell the BGE, but he's dang stubborn.....and now I feel bad for trashing his futile attempt at supplementing his income. Crap,  y'all go buy yourselves a wall flower to set next to your Egg.

Well I will have to pay better attention next time I am in the LM store.  I need to bring you my Yamaha PWC for some work this winter and will get the pretty bolts when I drop it off.  Am afraid to bring the Malibu lest you finally paint my wedge pink.  :-)

Is it a wood pellet grill?  Saw that mesquite pellets go for about 30$/20 lbs.  Can get mesquite wood a whole lot cheaper if it didn't have to use pellet sized fuel. Why pellets Cat?

Congrats on your Egg Table.  Saw some original designs and think if I made one I would go with Cypress too.  We just bought 8 cypress Adirondack chairs for our fire pit because the wood weathers so well.  Expensive, but hopefully a one time purchase....

I would guess it is an efficiency thing.  The wood heaters that use pellets claim a 98-99% efficiency where as wood heaters only rate at 70-80-% depending on manufacturer and model.  Some are probably higher  but can't compete with the pellet burners.

Using pellets is really all about ease of use and the ability to get a smoked flavor. You put in the pellets and set a temperature. An auger feeds in the pellets which are initially ignited electrically, and then a fan controls the burn for set temperature.  From there, you throw on the meat and let it go.

What happens when for whatever reason you can't get pellets anymore?  Natural disaster, union strike, govment regulation, company bankruptcy, etc. could disrupt supply chains. I know someone that decided against  a pellet model wood heater for this reason.  Very unlikely scenario undoubtedly, but still possible.  Govment regulation being the most likely, after all, you have to kill trees and emit CO2!!

One hour of cookin' per pound of pellets.  20lb bag is $17.50.  Go figure.  You are exactly correct Lifer.  Yummy cookin' as well.  Ulysses is just too ole for change.
