It is expected from the left. But, the right is made up of ethical and moral old white coots who are hypocritical as are their supporters. Pathetic that you never accept that you have losers in your party but just look to justify your crooks based on crooked Dems. No wonder the majority of voters rejected the right and their hypocracy.

Not sure you even understand what the word means but let us examine the ramifications of misbehavior of those on the right versus the left. Cheat on your taxes? On the left you get to be SecTres or reelected to Congress over and over. On the right, you resign in disgrace. Cheat on your wife? On the left it is a resume enhancer and you get to be POTUS or reelected to office over and over again. On the right, most resign in disgrace. Run a male prostitution ring and get reelected over and over again. Tap your feet in a bathroom stall and resign in disgrace. I could go on but the point is that when someone on the right falls, there is a price to pay. On the left the wagons are circled, the govt media changes the subject and life goes on. No standards, no ramifications....
Besides GF, you are the one posting, reposting and then reposting again the same story about some obscure guy in Florida whilst ignoring the current event scandals in your own party. Remove the plank in your own eye before you worry about the sliver in ours. I predict you will repost this thing again when he is sentenced. Then you will post again when he goes to jail. Then you will post again when he is released. Then you will post again when he leaves the halfway house. During that same timeframe there will be dozens of Dems that do much worse that you will ignore. Easy to make me wrong by giving up on this boring story.........we will all be better for it.....

Senator David Vitter!.........The poster child for hypocrisy. Explaining how can a party built on "family values" continue to support and even place in a mid-leadership position this worm of a man who has based his entire career on "family values" is above my pay grade. Shouldn't there at least be a bit of embarrassment if not apology? All families, professions and all sides in politics have some hypocrites and black sheep...most are reviled or ignored but a few get promotions.
So, condemn Barney Frank to high heaven, but please MM, can't we at least have "tsk-tsk" for Mr Vitter?

You will note that when I mentioned cheat on your wife I said "most" resign in disgrace. I never said all. But I can assure you I would not have voted for him in a primary and maybe not even in a general election. But that's one example Archie......do you want my long list of current Democrat members of congress that have been involved in much worse than infidelity and yet are protected by the party and continue to win election year in and year out?
Yes, there are exceptions to the rule in the party of standards but those exceptions are the rule in the modern Democrat party and in fact are apparently resume enahncers. And when you have no standards you can't be accused of hypocrisy can you? The reason those on the left are hypocrites is they hold Republicans to a higher standard than their own party and not because they fail to live up to standards of behavior or morality (since they have none)....hence the plank and the sliver.....

My problem is not that the Democrats hold the Republicans to a higher standard, but that the Republicans with their holier than thou appeal to the Christian right are holding themselves to a higher standard...at least until it becomes inconvenient.
*Now if it OK to go after Barney Frank for something his "lover" was doing let me question the correctness of the husband of Michelle Bachman accepting payment from Medicaid for the very questionable efforts to "turn" gay people while Michelle is condemning federal deficits?

You keep talking about about the holier than thou Republicans but can't you at least admit that most conservatives walk the talk? Besides, I would rather have someone believe and vote for the right things while having personal failings than someone that believes all the wrong things and votes for all the wrong things. To do otherwise would just be silly.
But if you believe in all the wrong things you are going to vote for a person that agrees with you regardless of their personal failings...if you can even call them that since failure assumes some standards which mostly do not exist on the left.
