Here is a most interesting post on Drudge.Why does Homeland need all these armored cars? They damn sure are not using them to protect the border! Please don't laugh it off. Check it out for yourself.

Barring amphibious landings by China or tanks from Mexico and Canada crossing our borders, what use could there possibly be???
Perhaps subduing civil unrest? Enforcing new world federal laws? Defense against National Guard units under state control?? Lots and lots of possible uses in the future.

Even the Watts riots don't come anywhere close to justifying 2700 MRAPs. Maybe a half dozen. An AR-15 using penetrting rounds would see them simply bouncing off an MRAP like a fly bounces off a piece of granite. Connect the dots.

I wonder what process the Department of Homeland Security used to gain approval to retrofit 2,717 Mine Resistant Protected wehicles for service on the streets of the United States. Does anyone remember President Obama saying he needed a Civilian Army with all the weaponry and technology that the DoD Army has. I feel like I had a bad dream and woke up somewhere other than America. How are we going to put a stop to this madness? This is the kind of expenditures we are borrowing money from China to support. Why not use the money spent on frivolous purchases like this to avoid "fiscal cliffs" and "sequesters"?

Don't stand by wondering! Ask your congressman why. My opinion is like most of yours and I've made that opinion clear to my congressmen.
