Want to get a gas stove. Is there a company that services the pleasure point area?

If you want natural gas, you may want to try the "Grilling & Recipes" forum - there may be suggestions that will help you get gas.

Natural gas is supplied by the the City of Dadeville.  I am not sure it is run to Pleasure Point.  It's been awhile and I am partially memory impaired, but I think I recall seeing propane tanks in that area.
Area Propane is a good recommendation.

Just for clarity, "natural gas" (in spite of the various descriptions in this thread of intestinal gas) is delivered to the property via pipe, and has an unlimited supply. On the other hand, propane, also known as liquified petroleum gas (LPG) requires an on-property tank which must be refilled occasionally. Most of the suppliers listed in this thread peddle propane. is your interest in natural gas? Generally, the farther way from concentrations of customers, the less likely you'll find natural gas service. Good luck in your quest. i'm pretty sure the far eastern end of Coosa County 20 (where we have a cabin) won't see natural gas service any time soon. Oh, also, appliances intended for propane don't work well at all with natural gas because propane is a much higher pressure. We were given a stove by my wife's parents shortly after we married, and took it to Turkey when the Air Force moved us there. The in Laws had used it with propane, and the burners would barely light on the natural gas service in our Turkish apartment. Had to drill out the jets to make it work right.

Almost all of the new gas ovens will work with either natural gas or propane. The above post was correct as to nozzle differences. Most however come with both sets of nozzles and whoever installs it should ask about your gas supply and switch the nozzles if needed. They usually come out of the box setup for natural gas.

A supplier may tell you your stove cannot be converted from one to the other. He will gladly sell you a new unit.  I bought a Kenmore stove in 1971 for LP.  This model simply needed to have the two pressure adjustment valves reversed  when I moved to a city gas area .  I moved my LP gas dryer to a city gas area.  The gas dealer told me I just needed a smaller orifice fitting but he could make my fitting hole smaller.  When I asked how what looks like a 1/4" pipe cap with  a .040" hole into a cap with a .025" hole, he put a small carraige bolt into the cap and took a ball peen hammer to slowly thin out the cap end, making the hole too small.  He then got a presion reamer to reopen the hole to proper specs for the BTUs of my dryer

In 2009 a dealer tried to tell me there was no parts for an old LP stove I had but he would sell me a new unit.  Same for a $3000 furnace.  An older repairman took one look at the stove, pulled the top up a little, jerked the top off  and then took a quarter dollar coin to reverse built-in valves to city gas.  He also fixed my furnace for $450.  Total savings: ~ $3500.

Thanks for the update. I failed to mention that the stove was an old one when it was passed down to us in 1968. Good to know that most are dual-supply capable now.

If buying new, ask, do not assume it is dual.
We are renovating kitchen with new appliances.  First stove we wanted (switching from elec to LP gas) did not covert.  Glad we checked before ordering.
