All the Obama defenders I am sure will explain to us why he is not responsible for the poverty levels being the highest since the 1960s. Obamanomics is an abysmal failure as those of us with half a brain knew it would. After hundreds of billions spent on the war on poverty we are clearly losing and you know why? Because the govt does nothing well except national defense.
And all this despite an increase in spending in 2013 over 2012 and massive spending increases over the last four years by the govt. Of course the govt media is trying to spin this as a result of sequestration but we all know it is pure nonsense.

I have to disagree with you, obamanomics is not an abysmal failure. It is a total phucking flop just like obama. It's much like a monkey trying to make love to a football. I hope my military background and language doesn't offend you but I wanted to make sure everyone understood the basic meaning of your post.

Being at or below the poverty level does not always mean the person or family is destitute. I would highly recommend reading the attached investigative report from a Mobile tv station (watching the video is better).

Saw something the other day that explained how a woman with a couple kids, making $19K a year, is eleigible for over $80K government assistance af varying kinds and sources.

I don't have any facts to back this up, but I suspect there is quite a bit of non-government "instruction" available on how to game the system for those who are inclined to do so.
