cheated on his wife and the people who elected him by taking the AT to it's southern terminus to make whoopee.
He lied about it until caught...so he "apologizes" and asks forgiveness from God and the people.
He made the "hike" on the taxpayer's dime (he paid at least part of it back after he was caught...that makes it OK)!
Now it comes out he is about to be back in court (3 days after the election) for breaking the divorce agreement by trespassing on his wife property on multiple occasions. He is also not making the agreed $5000/yr payments toward his son's college fund.
But, bottom line...he is acceptable because he is a conservative Republican who has asked redemption, and anyway the democrats do it worse and more often!

Looks like Sanford would make a good democrap.
Let's move on to a much bigger subject. Is o-BAMA sheltering the Boston bombers? Seems he met in secret with the Saudi's yesterday and a scheduled press conference in Boston by police was cancelled shortly after the meeting. The injured subject is being deported next Tuesday, very unusual. Is a coverup underway to protect the al Queda suspects and their Saudi clan? Is o-BAMA complicit?

Get your facts straight Archie before you post lies about me. And yes, you are lying and it is both unseemly and pathetic. And don't accuse me of no longer being civil as I will never be civil to someone that lies about me.
Find where I defended his actions or his nomination, the latter you know I cannot do legally because I don't live in his district or even in his state. I stated unequivocally that I would have never voted for him in the primary. And I stated I would only vote for him in a general election if his opponent was so bad for this country that even a moral degenerate Republican would be better.....a sad commentary on the current state of the modern Democrat party....
Vacation did not help your civility and I await your apology for lying about me........no doubt I will not hold my breath.

please point out where I lied about you (or anyone else for that matter). The body of my post was directed at the right wing nut crowd in general and not at any specific individual. The last sentence was directed at you not because you had been willing to answer my post a few weeks ago regarding Sanford. You did not defend Sanford, but you did say if you were in his district you likely would vote for him if the opponent was politically unacceptable. I'm I incorrect in my assumption that you still stand by that statement? If you do still stand by it, please explain to me how and why Sanford is more acceptable than his opponent. Please explain how you weigh political policy against moral shortcomings in deciding your vote. Would you ever consider a candidate so morally unacceptable in spite of political philosophy, that you might either not vote, write-in a candidate or even vote for the politically less acceptable but morally superior opponent?

Please point out the statement that is deserving of an apology. If you are somehow offended by something I said, then I am sorry you were offended, but you have come no where near making me understand what that specific statement was or in justifying your insistance on an apology. Now, when can I expect your apology for specifically calling me a "baby killer"? I have been waiting for several years.

Forget the apology....it requires a certain amount of integrity that I have lost all hope that you would ever have. Would be a resume enhancer. One thing I can tell you is I would never vote for him in a primary......not in a million years. But if he was the nominee for whatever office I would take a hard look at the Dem and if he was found wanting I would hold probably my nose and vote for him.

Large majority means, say, 65-35 wouldn't you think? The last elections presidential popular vote totals came in as 51-47 in favor of the incumbent, only a difference of 5 million votes out of a total of 130 million or so cast for all candidates. Would you agree hardly a large majority? The Repubs held the House, which is also known as "the people's house". I don't quite understand your generalizations at times and hence try to set the record straight, or as straight as I can make it. Now, whether Hob's views rare consistent with the 47%, only he can answer that.

I know more people who voted for Romney than Obama...not one of them is as extreme in their beliefs as our friend here is as he so often makes clear by his posts. Most of the people who voted for Romney are very conservative but far from being in the black helicopter crowd with Hob snob, Wixie and several others who frequent this forum.
Again...the VAST majority laugh at the extreme positions expressed by not only Hob snob, but most of what comes across the Off-Topic wire!

I would also venture that the vast majority also tend to cringe when faced with the lunacy of the far left. Barney Frank, Sheila J. Lee, Harry Reid come to immediate mind.........

Archie, I absolutely stand by my hypothetical because yes, a degenerate Republican that votes in a conservative way is infinitely better than a totally moral and upstanding Dem that is wrong on the issues and votes to destroy this country economically, militarily or socially. Given no other alternative, I will take a politician that is right on the issues but has personal failings over one that is wrong on the issues. I suspect you would vote for Mussolini if he was pro abortion, wanted to raise taxes on the so-called rich, believed in globaloney, etc. No one promises us a perfect choice every time and in my case, I will take the lesser of two evils any day as evidenced by my support of the last two GOP nominees, neither of which I picked.
But it is moot as I cannot vote for him because I don't live in his district, I would never send him a dime of support and I did not, would not and could not pick him.......so keep on trying to grasp at straws........but you lied about me. Deal with it.......
By the way, notice you have been silent on the Boston bombing perps........still in mourning that it wasn't a white tea party guy? You're not alone......the White House is filled with em as is the govt media and academia.

If you vote for a pro abortion politician your are complicit in the murder of babies. But I am sure you are proud of that since you love the idea of having babies murdered in the womb.
