I am sure there is a great gloom cast over the offices of HuffnPuff, Salon, pmsnBS, aBS, cBS, nBs, WaPo, NYT and the White House today as the news that the perps of the Boston massacre were not old, white American tea party types......not to mention the dismay of certain frequenters of the forum. I can only imagine them passing each other in the halls exchanging that sad, knowing glance of yet another lost opportunity to demonize God fearing, law abiding Americans that happen to believe in limited government, personal responsibility and traditional values.
I can only imagine the whispered conversations around the water coolers, "Geez, don't these people (Muslim radicals) realize that we are their friends? Don't they realize how hard it is every day for us to go out and defend them? Oh God, why couldn't it have been an American tea bagger?!?!?" If there was an adult in the room they might have the courage to reply, "No you moron, they don't know and don't care about your support. They hate you, they hate me, they hate America and everything it stands for. They sit around in chat rooms and mosques laughing at you useful idiots and talking about how they will kill the journalists, gays, etc. first. You people are clueless about who these people are and your hatred of conservatives instead of our real enemies is beyond sickening." But sadly I have come to believe that there is no one in the White House or govt media that understands that or if they did, has the courage to state it. It doesn't fit their template about who the "real" enemy is.....
It does make me wonder if Obama will gather up all the families of the victims for a photo op to propose legislation to register law abiding citizens who are Muslims? We saw it in droves with guns so why not?!?!? I am sure the irony and hypocrisy will be lost on our favorite leftists.
On a positive note (if there is much positive to be gleaned from this sorry terrorist attack) is the conduct of law enforcement and their ability to find out who they are. I only hope there are no more innocent deaths. I also hope they don't take the second guy alive because a trial will only expose more Americans to danger.

But I suspect they have been taught that we are the evil Satan along with Russia but it is far easier in an open society like ours to foment terror than in Russia. More likely, they just ended up here for whatever reason, learned to hate America in their local mosque and went east for training on how to kill infidels. They would probably prefer to kill Russian infidels but we were more convenient.
I frankly don't subscribe much rational thought to these people.......we simply need to accommodate them in their desire to die for their cause....in as large a number as possible.....

Archie is probably at the beach again drowning in his sorrow that his wet dream was not fulfilled. I would likely be doing the same thing at Lake Martin had it been a 50ish white male conservative Christian registered Republican.....but then again, they never commit these kinds of terrorist acts so I was probably quite safe.
As for GF, he wisely refrained from expressing his opinion on the possible perps.
Copper is only an occasional drive by poster and this is definitely not one of those times he will likely choose to drive by, but you never know.

Even though it is of no surprise to me and probably not to most of you, one element of all this remains
glaringly apparent. Had this been a conservative, tea bagger, Obummer would have been all over the news this morning breaking into every broadcast with a furrow in his brow and pursed lips denouncing all conservatives
as dangerous radicals who should not be allowed to have guns and to due process as afforded to his Muslim brothers. He would once again rail against the NRA and Congress as the ignorant conservatives that he thinks they are and how they are somehow responsible for all of this.

I really don't need him to apologize in this case for just being wrong. Only when he knowingly lies about me........and for that I am still waiting and am wisely not holding my breath. I do recognize that if in the remotest of possibilities that it was a white American conservative I would likewise be chagrined. I have a difficult time deciding whether you are Hob Snob is the least informed and most offensive poster on this forum. It is a good thing that I have a thicker skin than MM and don't demand an apology every time either of you say something that could be interpreted as offensive to or about me ( are you interested in branding me a "baby killer"?). My attitude is to relish your hatred, and it is hatred, of me and my willingness to on occasion speak against the frightening extremism and intolerance so often expressed on this forum...I wear it as a badge of honor.
As for Boston, I will continue to take the high road and hold my comments until the authorities close the circle. I will then breath easier and rejoice in the capture, dead or alive, of the person or persons who did the deed.

Well there is another surprise....not! Based on his twitter feed he and TOTUS were dawgs and Obama tweeted his thanks for making his reelection happen. Kind of like the ricin letter sender........all over the place until his facebook picture showed him next to his car with a "Christian and a Democrat" bumper sticker.
Imagine the media coverage were Tsarnaev tweeting Romney and Curtis had a Romney bumper sticker. Would be wall to wall, 24/7/365 coverage on all the networks and the major newspapers just "making the connection" as their civic duty. I am an American, born, raised, educated, raised a family, had a successful career, and am enjoying retirement, all because of the opportunities offered by America. When this way of life is threatened by intruders, illegal immigrants, and terrorists, and assisted by other idiot citizens who want to destroy what I cherish, yes, to use you term, I hate what those people represent.

Of course the guys in the video did it...nobody disputes that me included. However, I will not pop off on their motives and how the hatred that led to those motives got in their minds. It could be radical Islam ( I suspect it will be what is found) but it could also be a suicide wish brought on by drugs, they could have been paid to do it, they may be simply crazy, there may be numerous other persons involved. It behooves reasonable people to not inflame the situation by deciding and proclaiming what the situation is before it is determined by the evidence. But, LOL, never expect reason from this crowd.

How in God's name is a post on the Lake Martin forum inflaming anything?!?!? What power do any of us have? What have you been laying awake at night worrying about? I really don't need to learn any more about these two Islamofascist scum bags than I already know. One is dead and the other is sadly still alive and in custody. Now we will have to endure the months of legal motions, trial, etc. it's just too bad Obama didn't call for a drone strike on that boat he was hiding in and put an end to this whole sorry event.
