2/ March jobs estimate raised from 88,000 to over 130,000
3/ Feb jobs estimate raised from 236,000 to over 300,000
4/ Unemployment rate down to 7.5% inspite of:
5/ The number of people withdrawn from the job search because they are discouraged...DOWN 133,000

Labor Participation Rate stays at 63.3%, lowest since 1979.
Unemployment rate has changed 0.4% since January!
11.7 Million unemployed. No change since March
Construction labor down 6000, Goods producing jobs down 9000, manufacturing flat, mining down, yet retail, bars restaurants and tempory jobs increasing. Do you consider this trend important in building a solid economy or a third world country.
Loss of work week hours - 0.2 /week. With the current employment rate, this translates to firing 700,000 people. The pre Obamacare hiring trends are starting to click in. Cut back hours to part time in order to save on health insurance costs.
How Archie, is the creation of a measly 165K jobs, ( when you consider 170K just keeps us even with death and retirement) with only 63% participation and most of that increase being the part time category, going to help erase the multi TRILLION dollar deficit?
At this rate of growth, and I can give you the non partisan reference for this number, it will take 7 years 10 months just to get to pre-recession employment. Add to that, the stock market is at nosebleed altitude, based solely on printed money.
Your level of optimism is not shared by many who read a little more into the BLS figures.

By the way, where you been the last few weeks with all the bad news?!? Have some courage and stop driving by with faux good news. The last two long pauses in Archie's forum postings had two things in common: Bad economic news and Archie vacations.
I believe it was Goldfinger, but it might have been a different Bond movie, where it was said "once is happenstance, twice is circumstance, three times is enemy action." Well Archie has achieved the circumstance level. If he claims "I was on vacation" during the next ecenomic news downturn we will know that it is utter Bravo Sierra.
By the way Archie, your daughter is obviously smarter than you. It is "cum laude", not "cum laud". I guess she gets her brains from her other parent.

I didn't Mr. H. You see, my wife and I have a small house on the panhandle and spend 14 to 17 days there each Jan, April and Oct regardless of the economy or who sits in the Oval office. As for pauses in my posts...well there are certainly more pauses than in those three months. They occur on occasion when my disgust with so much of what passes as worth saying on this forum so turns my stomach I have to say to he// with it and go to more intellectual outlets such as the jokes forum. I often wonder, considering all the venom spewed on this forum, why I keep coming back at all. Wonder if the Secret Service has this site on their radar :->???

MM surely you are intelligent enough to understand that disapproval of Obama does not equate with approval of the political ideals held by the likes of you. He//, an occasional poll comes out that asks additional questions of those who disapprove of Obama and consistently find that 20% to 30% of the disapprovers base there disapproval on the belief that Obama is not as liberal as they would prefer!!
