Anybody seen some? Seems like fewer Martins every year, and thank GOD, no snakes yet!

Haven't seen a snake in a couple years.  We have our usual occupation of Martins.

Near Bay Pine Marina.

Have seen a couple of snakes this year but of the harmless variety so far.  Not much on the martins....

We always seem to get a nest of martins under the boat every year (pontoon boat).  Thankfully I haven't seen any snakes yet and don't care to see any either.

I think there's a difference between Martins and Mud dobbers which get under the boat. Both are swallow like birds.

I think the mud dabbers are Barn Swallows or in the same family. I take the hatchlings for a ride in my pontoon boat in the spring. Mom & Dad are always waiting for a report when we get back.

We had the unfortunate issue of a duck laying her eggs on our float boat this year. As of this past weekend, no ducklings yet.  Should be hatched by this weekend.  Ready to go "On the Pontoon!"

Can't wait to see what kind of damage there is where she nested.....
