Satterfields next to Home Depot on 280.  They have everything for Big Green Eggs.

As BGE briquettes - it is lump charcoal, not compressed cellulose by-products that disposable grills use or clumped kitty litter that electrically loaded grills use.  Satterfields in Alex City, Lake Martin Mini Mall towards Eclectic, or pick up Royal Oak Lump from your favorite retailer.

lump charcoal is available at Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, and most grocery stores. Walmart carries Royal Oak brand (Royal Oak is the company that makes lump charcoal and packages it for BGE)....never use briquets.

I've found Royal Oak natural charcoal at Fred's.

Cowboy lump is half the price of BGE and works great.  Can get it at Russell Do It center and other locations.  Royal Oak works fine also.

Cowboy is pretty good and much cheaper. I use B&B from Sports Academy in Auburn. I think its better than the BGE charcoal -burns longer and evenly. One word of advice though, buy it in the winter 20 lbs fro $9.99, in the spring & summer it's $14.99.

Cowboy also has a mesquite lump available at Sam's, about $8.95 for 20# when you want more zest.  I do not think that Cowboy has nearly the quality control that Royal Oak does though...

Go buy Royal Oak at Walmart.
