I see that the water level has started to go down . Has anyone thought of a better way to keep the level up, at least through the summer when many of us enjoy boating and being in the water ?
By Labor day , the lake looks so much different (and not as good in my opinion ).

We have enjoyed the best number of high water days in a long time. Unless you have some proven rain dance methods, it is what it is.

Agree. Not sure I have ever seen this much water for this long....at least in the 17 years we've had a cabin on the lake.

I'm actually surprised it has remained as high as it has for so long.  This has definitely been the best water levels in the 14 years we have been coming to Lake Martin.  But the fact remains that as we move into the summer weather cycle of hot days, occasional t-storms and no long, soaking heavy rains the level has to drop as they are required to maintain sufficient flow in the Alabama River.  All it takes is one tropical depression to run up through Alabama and the lake is full again.  Just doesn't happen that often in the summer....pretty rare actually.

It doesn't get any better than this...as I've said before, anything above 489 if full and if we have 486 or better all is well.

I agree, the water has entered the "perfect" range.

Were you here summer 2007? As long as there's enough water under my pier to pull the boat up, I'm thankful. Level is PERFECT to me right now. :)
