So why does the LCRA not regulate the flow of water on the Colorado based on the what would be flowing normally?
When is rains, the river runs high, when it doesn't rain the river would run low. This way maybe they could keep some water in Travis and the lake economy would be healthy.

If more water is needed downstream for AG, build another dam lower down to trap the water instead of letting it just run out into the Gulf.

Hi Carver,

Sounds like building another dam would help stabilize water the supply. It seems it would also create jobs in building another dam and provide business opportunities as well. For now, I'm still waiting for mother nature to do her part and send some much needed rain....  I've been told that a few days of slow, steady rain-fall could bring a 10 to 20 foot rise in Travis Lake.
