Hennesey and Sons were right on time this morning and made it clear that they were expecting big things ;0)! With the chop on the water there was no way to see the jump when and if it occurred.The pressure was on! We started in front of the amphitheater and across Tallassee Slough. That's where the stripes were Saturday, but not today. Not even a decent amount of bait.
We packed up and moved to Wares. it took a bit to find them, but we hooked into a double around 8:30. Both were landed and went 10-12#s a piece. We hooked our third striper about 45 minutes later and it was another dandy. By then the skies were really looking like there was big trouble in store so we made a beeline back to the marina. We got a little damp around the edges, but managed to just beat the deluge. Good story telling material!

P.S. For those that plat to get out there soon, two of the three hit spoons rather than swim baits.

Does sound like a great outing!!
Today, not so much!! We had one small schoolie on a swim bait, but had to go all the way to Blue Creek to catch it!
Could not find any biters in Kowaliga at al!!
But I'll be back!! So....

Papa Hennessey checking in; we are back home in New Orleans and want to send out a big thank you to MountainMan. We were expecting big things and we got them. My two boys are hooked (literally) on Striper trolling. We were back out on Wed morning in our pontoon with inferior equipment, but we still gave it a try, but no action. Thanks again for the education on Striper fishing and the fun times on the water, we had a terrific time. By the way, we filleted the fish, left the scales on, grilled scales down. Could have used more seasoning, but then again, we are from New Orleans!! See you next time we are at the Lake.
