Looks like they've worked a deal so we get stuck with this piece of crap law but they are exempt or get their premium mostly paid by us taxpayers. If there was ever a reason to burn DC to the ground this is it. Apparently Obama carved out some deal so OPM will take care of these worthless bastards that screw us over while making sure they get taken care of at our expense.
As for me, I am going to contact my reps and tell them if this happens I will vote against any incumbent in the primary. We need to send them home starting with TOTUS/SOTUS/Jimmy Carter, Jr and ending with any of them that allow this to happen. It may be time for another revolution.

You need to understand the problem and the solution before you post. The issue is that congress and their staff were going to lose the 75% contribution toward their premium they receive from the federal government. The fix is to continue the contribution similar to the contribution you make towards your employees coverage. You and your kind are making an issue out of nothing.
"LOS ANGELES (MarketWatch) -- The White House has approved a deal that will create a regulatory fix for members of Congress and their staff related to some of the provisions of the Affordable Care Act, according to media reports. Under the law, popularly referred to as Obamacare, lawmakers and their aides were required to source health insurance "created" by the law or offered through one of its exchanges; and without the subsidies they currently have, the members of Congress would have faced thousands of dollars in additional premium payments each year, the reports said. However, the Office of Personnel Management now plans to rule that the government can continue to make a contribution to the health-care premiums of the lawmakers and their staff, according to unnamed congressional sources and a White House official."

Who wrote the frigging law?!?!?!? Yeah, its just filled with problems for every American but those a holes in DC are going to make sure they fix the ones that impact them. GF, you need to understand the problem before you try to defend those worthless pieces of crap in DC. Bunch of whiney, self serving jerks that foist laws on us that we don't want and then exempt themselves when it might have an adverse impact on them. They could give a rats behind about the rest of us. And besides, who the hell says they deserve to have 75% of their costs covered anyway?!?? Where is that written in stone?
Isn't there anything that govt does that you don't love?!?!? Makes me sick to even think about it.
Oh and by the way, did you notice all the "good" economic and international affairs news? Of the 953k jobs created in 2013 over 731k of them were part time.....thank you Obamacare. And 21 miilion adult children are forced to live with their parents.....and black teen nemployment is at 41%.......and.....oh never mind, I could go on all day with truth and it would not penetrate left wing nut invincible ignorance. And we are closing embassies all over the world for Obama's bday because of threats from al Quaeda........yeah, your false god has really brought the world together with his feckless, spineless foreign policy......thanks very much Hillary. And then we have Russia......yep that moronic reset button of Hillary's really made a difference.
And now we find out Benghazi was crawling with CIA during the attacks.......looks like the gun running operation was about to go south.....no wonder Obama and Hillary lied repeatedly. Neither of them are fit for any office but you left wing nuts will vote for,the, in droves as long as they give you your abortions, gay marriage and so called free stuff that I and the other productive Americans pay for at the point of a gun. MM, here is the abstract from a report from the Heritage Foundation published yesterday.
Abstract
A provision in Obamacare stipulates that on January 1, 2014, Members of Congress and their staff will lose their current employer-sponsored health insurance provided through the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program (FEHBP). There is a deepening concern among Members of Congress that they will be forced to pay more for their health care than they do today—precisely the concern that animates millions of their constituents. Many in Congress are hoping that the Obama Administration will at least find a way for them to continue using their large, tax-free FEHBP employer subsidies to defray the cost of their new coverage. However, the Administration lacks statutory authority to pay those subsidies to plans outside FEHBP. Of course, Congress could keep its current health coverage by repealing Section 1312(d)(3)(D) of Obamacare. Yet, the political price for doing so is that Members of Congress must repeal the rest of Obamacare as well—so that their constituents are allowed to keep their health plans, too.

Congress and staff will enroll for coverage in an exchange as required under Obamacare and they will continue to receive the same subsidy toward the premium as they currently receive. They passed a law that negated their lucrative health insurance payments and now the sniveling whiners will get that fixed.....unlike the rest of us that get left holding the bag of excrement called Obamacare.

I realize that you are really trying to avoid the whole point of the post by your fixation on one, minor aspect of almost no significance but I will provide a remedial explanation so maybe you can start to think about the larger issues........not that I am confident you will......but hope springs eternal.
OK, so my major point is I am outraged that the very same people that gave us Obamacare are now whining about it and are getting a fix only available to the ruling class. My secondary point is that left wing nuts such as yourself don't seem to care. Related to that secondary point is because you don't seem to care....or maybe even in spite of it........you will still vote for the very same worthless pieces of monkey excrement Democrats as long as they are all for your special interest fixation (and I listed a few of the more prominent ones). I then provided a slew of deviant behaviors that the Dem voters would put up with and vote for a Dem, some real examples and some hyperbole (you'll have to ask Archie's wife for the definition as she is my grammar police), including the comment about child molesting.
So what I was saying is that as long as a Dem politician is totally behind whatever deviant policy, a left wing nut would even vote for a child molester.........an extreme example but of course I made my point......although one could argue that Clinton was almost a child molester......missed it by THAT much! (Insert Max Smart voice for that last one).
So GF, now that you hopefully, maybe, possibly finally understand my point do you want to talk about the lousy economy, how al Quaeda has now forced us to close embassy's around the world despite having been lied to that they were on the run, Beghazi, IRS, the soaring deficit, all those part time jobs, the horrible mess that is Obamacare, NSA snooping, and on and on and on or do you prefer to stay in hiding and fixate on misunderstanding minor, ancillary issues? Wait.......don't bother to answer as I already know what you will say. If you will recall one of Wieners victims was a 17yo High School girl. And GF forget about trying the argument that he resigned. That is true, but he still has the tacit approval of his party members and low information voters. Of course his running for mayor was more about getting access to the 5 million he had in his campaign coffers. The office is just a means to the end, money! He hadn't had time to pilfer off all that cash when he got caught with his pants down (great pun, huh). He figured the mayors race would be the most expensive and therefor allow him to soak that account with contracts to friends with benefits. No not those benefits, kickbacks, and shell companies and the like.

We do have to remember that GF's very own congressman said he was worried about Guam tipping over and sinking because of the presence of U.S. troops.......I think GF is on his reelection committee ever since he lost his hero, Cynthia McKinney.
