Well this is what I know.....AP is calling for septic permits and there aren't any! Never in the history has any ever been filed.....that can be found. They have none and PP has none. Lawyers are involved as it seems an entire septic system might have to be redone to fit the new "guidelines". The two estimates are both in the millions. AP is about to shut the place down for good until permits are found or inspections are done. Family place so I do have some interest. This one will b interesting if everyone is forced to do new tanks....we're talkin a bunch of money!! I know a realtor that has taken her contracts off the market because no one can buy in there until this is resolved.

We are in the Parker Creek are so are not much up to speed with things on the east side of the lake. When I first read your post I guess I misinterpreted it to mean Pleasure Point Marina...there is a marina by that name, right? But reading your latest posts makes me think Pleasure Point is a real estate deelopment...in that case I can see the impact would be quite a bit more severe than if a Marina had to make septic repairs.
Please fill in those of us who don't know but want to! Thanks.

Pleasure point is a marina but also a huge "trailer park". There are I would guess 100+ places in there. Maybe we three times that number. Some folks have substantial investment in their places. When they go on the market they are usually listed around 100k. Many very nice lots and every one paying hundreds in rent each month. It is all leased from AP by one woman who sublets all the other leases. Very high value property on BIG water. Gonna be very interesting to see how this shakes out. One has to wonder if this is related to the relicensing process and the property swaps involved.

Thanks. Sounds like the process of bringing the lake from the laissez faire (sp?) ways of the past to spending megabucks to comply with "cityfied" rules. Will be interesting to see how it sorts out.

Btw, I hope nobody took "trailer park" in a negative way. Most, if not all, of those folks -HQ e worked vDry hard and have made their slice ofheavan really nice.

Not sure how you came to the trailer park conclusion. I looked at the pix didn't see a single trailer hitch on any of the homes. Mobile home, maybe, but not a "trailer park".
