How long is it going to take to end the nightmare that Obama Care continues to dominate the media? New problems with the implementation surface on a daily basis. How will it ever be possible to document the cost that is accumulating daily as a result of all the man hours being expended by everyone involved in preparation for something that may never see the light of day. With a law consisting of 2400plus pages that had to be passed to see what was in it, and over 18,000 pages of rules and proposed regulations required to implement it, what is it going to take for "we the people" to make it known to our "elected officials" that this was not a "law" that we wanted forced upon us? Why can't this law be repealed based on all of the "untruths" that are now known that were used in justifying its passage?

Simple. There aren't enough legislators who are NOT drunk on the power Obamacare will give them over American citizens. To them it is an exercise in creating dependency on they, the "ruling" class, and thus power over those who are dependent.
Solution: Elect enough patriots who are more interested in the country than themselves. First opportunity: 2014 Congressional elctions.

I agree with your solution. Hopefully, there will be many more problems that surface about Obama Care that will continue to accentuate what a horrible law this will turn out to be if if is implemented. The fact that Democrats
are now calling it a "train wreck" and union leaders have written letters to Obama voicing their opposition, we must keep this issue on the front burner. The uproar that was created when Congress became aware that they would be subject to Obama Care shows what a bunch of hipocrits we have representing the rights of the American people.

It is amazing to listen to these claims that all the "untruths" about Obamacare come from the pro side. Get real...remember the "death panels", the assertion the IRS can send you to jail for not "enrolling" and the claim a few weeks ago from one state insurance commissioner that the average premium from his state exchanges were going to be 2/3ds higher than the average being paid by employers when actually if the "platinum" offering which was expected to be taken by only a tiny minority was not included the premium for apple to apple coverage plans was actually slightly less than the employer plans. Now comes the BS from Faux News and Ted Cruz that congressional staffers are exempt from the law. The "truth" is they were the only group currently covered by their employer to be specifically kicked out of the employer plans and into the exchanges as part of the language of the law. This was at the insistence of Senator Grassley and his Republican cohorts to make the law more "fair". Obviously the staffers were not happy but requested that if they had to give up their partially employer paid insurance they should at least be reimbursed for the amount originally paid by their employer (US taxpayers). The "exemption" Cruz is crowing (lying) about is not anybody saying congressional staffers are exempted from the requirement from the law as approved. They do have go to the exchanges; but that they will, as recently declared by an Administrative Law Court decision, continue to receive a tax payer subsidy to help pay for the private plan they select from the exchange.
If you hate Obamacare feel free to Bash it, but bash it with facts not BS and lies. There are more than enough lies from both sides of the aisle to go around...on Obamacare and pretty much any issue. to

What is amazing to me is that there are so many problems with oh-my-God-care that the administration just postpones the parts they can't seem to implement, which is unconstitutional by the way. Now as long as the train is still coming down the rail, their still some left wing nuts riding it as it derails off the track. This is the biggest peace of poop ever to be passed in my life time but it will be repealed before its over with. Congress is jumping from the train because they know it about to wreck.

Architect, based on your detailed input about how Obama Care applies to our Federal Government employees, it appears you have plenty of time to research all the untruths that can be attributed to President Obama in his efforts to sell his "grandiose plan" to the American people. The following are just a few of the comments that I can recall that were made by President Obama as he went about explaining the benefits of Obama Care: !. If you have a doctor, you can keep your doctor, 2. If you have insurance coverage, you can keep your coverage, 3. There will be no increase in taxes resulting from Obama Care, 4. Obama Care will not increase your cost for insurance coverage, 5. Your out-of-pocket cost for insurance will be capped at $6,200.00(this has now been changed to $12,400.00). 6. Young people buying insurance will see their cost increase as a result of the Obama Care plan providing coverage for millions who have no insurance,....and the list goes on. Architect, you are welcome to add to this list.

Ranting will not make it true. You are one of the few "conservatives" on this forum who has (at least had) an open mind. You know (or should know) that telling the truth is never a "rant". Obamacare may or may not work...time will tell. If it is reasonably successful, as is the almost identical program in MA, it will be a true miracle considering all the untruths. road blocks and monkey wrenches being thrown in its path by the political powers that be on the nutty right.
My post was not a rant but to point out that many lies are being told by both sides...a reasonable person is hard pressed to deny that fact. It is unfortunate that so few reasonable people frequent this forum. Hope you are still one of them!

The fact is that the law, the Affordable Care Act (an oxymoron better named Obamacare), specifically included the amendment by Grassley and was passed by Democrats only and signed into law by Obama. True or false?
The fact is that because of the law that was passed by Democrats only and signed into law by Obama Congress and their staffers lost their lucrative 75% health care insurance premium coverage. True or false?
The fact is Obama unilaterally instructed OPM to pay the 75% health insurance premium in contravention of federal law. True or false?
That dude, is congress and staffers being exempted from Obamacare. You may not like or agree with the semantics but facts are stubborn things. C'mon Archibald, you can admit the truth even if you are a left wing nut. Even GF doesn't defend Obamacare because he realizes that Max Baucus (a Democrat by the way) was right, it is a train wreck.
So do something useful in your life and spend your efforts ferreting out all the lies Obama told about this abysmal piece of crap legislation......or maybe he was just too stupid, lazy and incompetent to realize that he was telling a bunch of lies (would explain why he has spent millions keeping his grades top secret).

Repeal this piece of crap law and replace it with sensible reforms before its too late and we end up like Europe. Archie likes to use the pejorative that conservatives are mindless followers of someone....anyone....when they happen to agree about something. The problem is that we agree on what is factually true because we are rational. We can agree or disagree on opinions based on our own personal beliefs, experiences, understandings, etc. For liberals, facts are opinions, reason and logic are subject to opinions and so on.
Just remember, I live rent free in Archie's mind. He is absolutely and abnormally fixated on me for some reason. He has his wife check my grammar......think about that.....she stands behind him and reads my posts and checks my grammar. It makes me wonder if she also tells him what to type, what to eat for breakfast, what shirt goes with what pants and so on. I can't ever remember meeting a manly liberal. Or maybe you were just misinformed on the Huffnpuff post, but there was no "Administrative Law Court" decision about this special little privilege for the whining govt workers. It was a decision handed down by the Office of Personnel Management and it was a special deal specifically brokered by SOTUS himself. So you get real Archie and get informed and think before you post......or at least try to educate yourself.
I know the left loves to have the courts force on the American people what they can't get legislatively (hiding behind the skirts of some unelected judge is more like it) but not in this case.......get real indeed......what a rube you are.....
