I don’t do NASCAR so I don’t go to NASCAR events. And I don’t want to hear the race boats from my condo when I go to the beach. It reminds me of the inconsiderate people who blare rap and hip hop from their boats on Lake Martin… they just don’t care about the other folks on the lake. If they turn off your peace… you cannot counter by turning it back on.

At least we can ask about this event BEFORE we book a condo at the beach.

Competitors coming from all around the globe to the Alabama coast for 1 weekend. I think it's worth the noise to enjoy it.

I don't care to hear loud boats at Lake Martin either. but if I lived down there and knew it was only an occasional weekend, I would choose to go see relatives, go to New Orleans for the weekend, or something like that. The event has got to be good for the local economy, and a weekend a year can and should be tolerated. If they had it every other weekend I'd be lookng to sell, and only show the place on non-boat weekends.....lol
