With regard to military pay and benefits, the President said, “While military compensation and retirement systems should provide a reasonable standard of living, they should be fiscally sustainable and impose the least burden on the American taxpayer.” [Military Officer Magazine, November 2013, p35] WHAT? He is not willing to let soldiers, sailors, and airmen be a burden on taxpayers… but, he’s okay with welfare and ObamaCare eating the taxpayers alive. I think, perhaps he has his priorities misaligned.

Priorities misaligned, BULLCHIT, he has his whole brain misaligned.  Welfare/Military which is more productive for the country?  When the next conflict breaks out, let him call on the welfare warriors to protect the country.

Like Slick Willie, he loathes the military, his wife loathes the military, his children loathe the military, his pastor loathes the military, his Imam loathes the military and pretty much everyone in his administration loathes the military.  Not to mention he knows a majority of those in the military did not vote for him...yet another reason all of the above loathe the military........and based on those I know in the military the feeling is mutual.

As I said, "When the next conflict breaks out, let him call on the welfare warriors to protect the country."

“Social Security benefits for nearly 58 million people will increase by 1.5 percent next year, the government announced Wednesday.” [Ohlemacher, AP, 30OCT13] - - “On Aug. 30, President Barack Obama sent a letter to Congress stating he plans to use his authority under law to cap the active duty military pay raise at 1 percent.” -and- “The 2004 Defense Authorization Act tied future military pay raises to growth in private sector pay, as measured by the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Employment Cost Index (ECI). Accordingly, the FY2014 active duty pay raise would be 1.8 percent. [Military Officer Magazine, November 2013, p33] - - The Pretender in Chief has granted himself authority to break the law. The DEM Senate Armed Services Committee agrees with him. The House rejected the 1.0 percent pay cap. The men and women of our military have no choice… uh… until their enlistment is up… or they make the ultimate sacrifice.

Cotton, unless you voted for the Pretender… I don’t see how you owe active, veteran, and/or retired military personnel an apology for the embarrassment of our current president and his administration.

Our vets fought and served to protect us all, no matter how we voted. My regret is that I did not do more to see that the current administration was not re-elected, and that I didn't push my Congressional representatives harder to counteract his buffoonery. I see us all as Americans, not Republicans or Democrats or conservatives or liberals, and as such when our government fails our vets, we all fail our vets. Therefore the basis for my apology. And no, I did not vote for him.
