What you will get, if he is dumb enough to answer, is a reiteration of all the good intentions of Obamacare and not the actual results, which like each and every government entitlement program accomplishes the exact opposite. Cost less? Nope! Keep your current plan? Nope! Keep your current doctor? Nope! Keep your current hospital? Nope? Lower the deficit? Nope! Cover the fictional 45 million without health insurance? Nope!
Like every single government program based on good intentions it is a miserable failure. Think the war on poverty as just another example. After spending trillions over the last 30 years we actually have more poverty today.....I know, I know.....we just need to spend more, right? How about more federal government involvement in education? Gee, how has that worked out for us. We have gone from the world leader in education to the bottom third of industrialized nations. I know, I know......we just need to spend more, right? I could go on and list the failed promises of each and every one of our entitlement programs but why ruin a good emotion-driven fantasy of the left with facts, logic and reason? It can't penetrate their invincible ignorance anyway.

1. There was nothing wrong with the medical insurance coverage I had, the coverage I chose, the coverage I bought and paid for, without help.
2. There is nothing, not a fricken thing, better in the obamacare coverage I am being forced to choose. The deductibles are 2 1/2 times higher, the family stop loss is 5x higher, the contraceptive coverage adds zero value, as does the expanded mental health provision. Keeping my 24 yo son on the policy does result in a savings of approx $100/month, $1200/year, BUT my premiums for a plan markedly inferior to my old plan are UP BY $540/month, an INCREASE OF SIX THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED EIGHTY DOLLARS PER YEAR.
Thank you, you democommieprog rat baz tards, and Justice Roberts, for the largest TAX INCREASE in US history. Chief Justice, the law says taxes must be applied equally to all.

CAT, didn't answer them because I assumed you were looking for someone that delusionally thinks there is something about Obamacare to like. But OK, here you go with answers to the questions you asked:
1. What was wrong with what we had, and what needed fixing?
The fact is we had the best health care system in the world with a few problems. The big ones were dealing with pre-existing conditions, providing some form of health insurance to the estimated 10-15M people that did not have it and actually wanted it and third party payer systems that increases costs and introduces distortions in the purchasing habits and the need for tort reform so doctors do not have to practice defensive medicine and charge high fees in order to pay for their malpractice insurance.
2. What is better with the new Obamacare(at this moment)?
For the vast majority of Americans (over 95%) nothing is better and many things are already worse, and in same cases much worse. Costs for health insurance have gone up dramatically since its inception and is accelerating as more of the provisions come into force. CBO recently estimated that in 10 years over 30 million will still be uninsured. Millions of people have already lost the insurance they had an liked and either are forced to buy policies with coverage they do not want or they will go without insurance because it will now cost too much. According to AEI, as many as 100 million could lose their current insurance as a result of Obamacare. Doctors and hospitals are refusing to take Obamacare insurance because of the ridiculously low reimbursement rates, the paperwork burden and the rules about doctors and hospitals getting stuck with 2 months of coverage after a patient stops paying their premium and a myriad of other problems. Most of those added via Obamacare so far have either been older people with pre-existing conditions or those signing up for Medicaid. Costs are going to spiral out of control and the government is going to be forced into subsidizing more and more of the cost which will increase deficits and drive up the cost of health care for everyone. There was no tort reform because God knows DemocRATs could never do something to thwart the lining of the pockets of the tort lawyers. I could go on and on and on with the damage this abysmal law has done to the country but what's the point? The left meant well, right?

Obamacare is really not effective today other than allowing children to remain on a parents policy until age 26.
The big deal with Obamacare is everyone will have coverage for pre existing conditions. No one can be canceled for too many claims. No one can receive a premium increase due to too many claims. No one will pay a higher premium when they sign up due to medical problems. There are no annual or lifetime dollar limit on the benefits.
Some of the issues depending on who the carrier is that you sign up with, they may restrict which hospital and doctor you can use.
The site below will allow you to calculate a premium and any eligible subsidy based on your income. As I understand, there will be 3 plans…Bronze, Silver, and Gold. The premium shown is for the Silver plan.

Wow GF, you have consumed mass quantities of kool aid on this one. The fact is that there has been almost zero benefit of Obamacare to date and it pales in comparison to the havoc it is wreaking on the lives of a majority of Americans. Why do think 95% want it changed and almost 60% want it repealed and replaced. I almost feel sorry for you that you made this pathetic attempt at defending this miserable law.
People are already paying significantly more for their current health insurance coverage as a result of Obamacare. Millions and probably tens of millions of those 85% that liked their health insurance will be canceled in 2014 and forced to pay more for coverage they don't want or don't need or pay a tax (yet another lie of SLOTUS as he has raised taxes on tens of millions of Americans with this one provision alone). Tens of millions won't be able to keep their current insurance. It will cost thousands more instead of saving $2,500. Tens of millions won't be able to keep their doctor or hospital. And the list of lies go on and on and on.
All the so-called benefits you list will have to be paid by someone, right? And who will that be, cause the younger people are not going to sign up. They are going to pay the tax instead as it is a logical, rational decision and this will lead to its total failure just from a cost perspective. I am beginning to agree with those that believe this was designed to fail from the start....no one could be this incompetent.....well OK, Dems could be this incompetent......once this fails we will be hearing the calls for single payer as DemocRATs try to make insurance companies out to be the bad guys because they are forced to comply with the law. They are already doing it with the cancellation notices required by the law.

So basically I list a slew of the bad things that have already happened, even worse that will happen and you are crowing about 26 year olds being able to stay on their parents insurance?!?!?!? Wow GF, I really do envy left wing nuts and their ability to live in a world of pure fantasy. Emotion over facts, logic and reason.......
And by the way, for a number of states that little benefit was already in place. And that's how it should be done, on a state by state basis. If that feature is important to you then move to a state that has it. Obamacare is a friggin disaster which is why SLOTUS keeps imperially deciding not to enforce it......at least not until after 2014. It will not work even with the govt media getting back in line after a couple of weeks of random journalism.

Well, what about me. I am 50, cancelled, and did not make the 26 year old child rule to be on my parents policy! I have both my parents, and they would gladly accept me. (I think, lol) My new insurance is more expensive, and drug cost are way more. Yep, I have pre-excisting health problems. Can he just put things back the way they were????? Because, if he makes things worse, "The Camel's back WILL break". Kinda like the Camel is gettin' weak, and the straw pile is about empty. I am 215lbs and 6'5", my back is strong and I don't eat straw. Enough fiber, I want productivity. IT'S KINDA LIKE A NASCAR, TALLADEGA PILE UP KINDA THING". Yep, a few laps to go, OBAMA (Montoya) hits the Jet Dryer on the track and just crashes up everything. Really, his most historical moment. Now, my wife says I must leave this "Off Topic" forum because she fears it will take my time away from her. Dang, I am lucky she is the boss.

Don't they realize how this is harming SLOTUS' approval numbers? That is what is really important here.
