On Monday, March 17 a young dog showed up at my house on Old Susanna Rd., across from the boat ramp. It's a male and he looks fairly young (less than a year old). He's a nice dog, loves to take walks and play. He has a white blaze on his face between his eyes and a white tip on his tail. The rest of his coat is a grayish beige. He wasn't wearing a collar. If anyone is missing their pet, or would like to have a sweet dog, please respond to this message. I would keep him myself b ut already have two pets of my own.

We saw that dog when we were walking and he was very sweet -- he followed us to the end of Old Susanah -- we had our Golden Retriever with us and he tagged along. He looks like a husky mix and very pretty.  He was with a black lab at the ranch house that has a red roof --  the house very near to the Boat ramp. I can't remember who lives there.

Actually we took the whole Sandy Creek dog population for a walk that day because another little Black dog was also following us and then we picked up an american/pit bull mix ... It was quite the scene.   Luckily they were all friendly. The pit made us nervous but turned out to be sweet.

I hope someone claims him he was beautiful.  :(

The pit bull you mentioned is another rescue dog a neighbor found starving to death at a gas station on 280. His name is Pump and he is very sweet - no need to be afraid of him. The other black dog is Austin, also sweet. The ranch house near the boat ramp is mine and we have a yellow lab, who loves everyone. Chance, that's what I've been calling the lost dog, is part husky, I think. I am taking him tomorrow to see if he has a micro chip because he looks to me like he has been neutered. He is a sweet boy and he gets along well with other dogs, and also our cat, but I would really like to find his owner, or if he has been dumped by someone, a forever home with a family that will treat him the way he should be treated.

Are you and your wife the folks who rode up to our dock on a jet ski and told us you were good friends with the Browns? We bought their house. If so.. tell Bill we saw he won a journalism award in Lake Martin Living --  and congrats. We feel like we live in a celebrity's home. :) Also—tell him the squirrel won—we gave up. He will know what we mean.

Hope to see you on our jaunts down Old Susanna. We have taken up where Bill left off-- collecting trash along the road to throw away.

Hope you find the owner of the dog--we have two Golden's so can’t take him…but I know if someone sees that dog they will want him....he is sweet and unusually beautiful. Thanks for the heads up on the neighborhood dogs! We love it on Sandy Creek.

I am the wife, and yes we're the couple that came up on the jet ski. We saw "the celebrity" yesterday and I will certainly tell him you send your regards. Glad you are enjoying our pioece of Heaven here on Lake Martin! I'll keep you posted on the dog that I've started calling "Chance" because I'm trying to give him a second chance for a happy life with a forever home!
