Married Republican Conservative caught sucking face with staffer. Asks forgiveness like they all do on the Right.

The Right Says Too Bad He Got Caught

Why is it that the left always tries to justify an impropriety or crime by pointing out those who have "sinned " on the other side? It is interesting though that a conservative will be pillored for something that is almost a prerequisite for a Democrat. Perhaps it is because we expect much more from a conservative than a liberal and we are so disappointed when they fall. No conservative could have drowned his girlfriend and remained in office. Let them all pay the price of their folly!

Sorry GF, a politician sucking face with someone other than his wife/husband/same sex partner is not even on my radar screen as I could not keep up with the Dems that cheat on their spouses/partners.  Heck, its so common it barely makes the news any more.  Let's stick with illegal acts because I simply have limited time to keep up with the other stuff.  Not to mention I stopped paying attention to this so if I need to up the odds again I will but not this week.  Have to talk to my acct about taxes, interview a new General Counsel and am headed to Augusta for the Masters with a client.  Too busy for anything other than this quick reply.

You have to understand that since GF is a member of the party of no standards of behavior or decency and as such he has the unique advantage of not being a hypocrite......but apparently also lacks the common sense and decency to understand how absurd he is in raising this issue in the first place.  Double standards are the norm with left wing nuts and sadly they actually think they are making a point when they raise the occasional indiscretion by a member of the GOP.

My usual retort that the latest offendee should switch to the Dem party and he could be president is only met with invincible ignorance.  You just can't fix that.......

So, the government will help pay through a tax write off your trip to the Masters with a client. Sounds like corporate welfare to me.

Enjoy your trip to Augusta as the Masters is the best golf tournament to attend.

I had not planned on that but now that you mention it........a tax write off.......excellent suggestion!

It is indeed in my opinion the best sporting event to attend bar none.  Reminds me of a funny story.  Friend of mine gets a call on a Friday night and he is asked if he wants a last minute ticket to the Saturday round, including a flight to Augusta on a corporate plane.  He is all excited and calls his wife knowing that they had a busy Saturday schedule with kids sports, etc.  She reluctantly says OK after he says he knows its bad timing yada yada.....but after all, its the Masters.  But she really wanted him to hear her unhappiness and volunteer to stay home and miss a great experience as a testament to his fidelity to his wife and family.

So he goes and has a great time and she is still complaining about it to various people, many of whom respond, "Cindy, after all, its the Masters".  The final straw was when she was again complaining ato a priest friend about her husband going on the Saturday  and he listens patiently while she explains how disappointed she was in him, how this was an opportunity to do the right thing, make a small sacrifice for the family and to please his beloved wife, etc.  And Fr. John's response?  You guessed it.  "But Cindy, its the Masters!"  She started railing that if she hears, "Its the Masters" one more time she was going to scream!

I for one am missing the bachelor party of the son of my best friend but when I explained to him why I would miss it he said, "Hey, no problem, after all it is the Masters".  I can't wait to see her and tell her about that....just to hear her scream.  :-)

If he had been lip-locked with a male staffer, would it have been ok??

Of course, if they were Democrats.

The GOP has higher standards for exchanging spit. To kiss a Republican pol you have to be a staffer or a professional journalist... not an intern or a page.

That's funny chit but true. I assume it is tied to the higher standard of family values that the right always seem to profess as the key to their platform.  The truth is that the Right just has higher affair standards and have a PAC for Cheaters that assist with healing and asking for forgiveness.

It is interesting that no one on the Right has posted calling the guy a scumbag. Hypocrites live to post another day.

Oh! He IS a scum bag and a hypocrite. AND, I assume he will be shown the door… at the least, not re-elected. He knew better and crossed the line. Like Newt, for example. Newt would NOT get my vote in a national election. He is TOO CLEVER.

On the other hand… with DEMs such behavior is… “no big deal.” Even with interns. The DEMs don’t clean house… as does the GOP.
