Someone is opening an eating place. They will be building upwards for restaurant. The person I spoke to said they thought it was going to be called Smitty's or something like that. 

Anyone know anything about it?

I was told yesterday that a new restaurant will be opening soon at the Segger's Store on the Dadeville side of the lake. They are taking the space where the Crossroads Restaurant used to be located. I'll post a projected opening date as soon as I know. I wish the new owners good luck and look forward to giving them my business.

But probably won't be ready until after summer then they will wonder where all the people went.

She said yesterday they are working on permits but may take a year because they have to go through FERC. 

I didn't realize Parker Creek leased their land from Alabama Power.

The Crossroads restaurant has moved on to Rt. 49, across from Dr. Mockler's office and I believe it opened for business this week.Look forward to seeing what moves into their old space. We need more eateries in the area.
