This is not an indictment but rather an opportuninity for Harbordocks to receive feedback and possibly improve because I like having a place close by to go to.

We went Saturday evening, and there were not that many people there yet.

We ordered and waited and waited and waited.  V  E  R  Y   S    L    O    W........

I orderd Ahi tuna salad.  The tuna was OK, but the salad looked like it came directly out of a bag.  At least it was fresh but there were only a few token cherry tomatos.  No onions, no sliced tomatos, nothing else, just the lettuce and leafy greens (straight out of the bag).  I remember in years past ordering the same and at least it was a salad that didn't come out of a bag.

The stuff the others ordered was OK but nothing special.  Looks like the portion size was reduced this year too.

I would think that the way these guys operate, they will appreciate the feedback

As a contrast, I ate there Friday night and had the blackened grouper and it was excellent.

We also ate there this past weekend and had a similar experience.  My wife ordered a glass of wine that took a very long time to get because, according to our waiter, they couldn't find a corkscrew.  My menu indicated that the Friday special was all you can eat catfish (which I ordered) and I was told that not only was it really not "all you can eat" but they didn't have any catfish, period.  I ordered the Grouper platter and it was ok (nothing horrible, nothing great).  The portion seemed to be a bit small for the price, however.  Also, it was supposed to come with Hush Puppies (again, according to the menu) which it didn't.  Just a small Grouper fillet and fries.  I tried to flag our waiter but by the time he had gotten back to our table we had eaten and we just decided to let it go.   Lastly, we heard other diners complain about stale wine and stale gin, of all things.  It seemed like the wait staff was basically preoccupied with resolving complaints.

To the customers that had bad experiences this weekend

I would like to apologies !!!!  This past weekend was only are second weekend open .

Not  to say that is any excuse. Jennie and myself are normally there every night and day that we are open ,

we were not there this past weekend due to a commitment.  We try very hard to give good service and good food.

Restaurant business is one of the toughest business to operate and we have the additional challange of only being a seasonal business .

With that said we love the lake and are customers and will continue to try to give good service and good food and try to fix the issues that people have and make it wright .

Sincerly

Chris and Jennie

Unfortunately I had the same experience Sunday.   Not sure I am going to be able to get my wife back again.

I have had plans to go twice this month, and both times they have been scuttled, but from what I'm hearing I shouldn't be unhppy about it. Not just this thread; friends went two weeks ago and all four said that it was one of the worst meals they have ever had, especially the hushpuppies. Even the catfish was bad, and like one said, how do you mess up fried catfish?

This makes me sad, because I want Harbor Docks to succeed in a huge way. It's my favorite place on the lake, and convenient. But if the food isn't good, nothing else will make up for that.

It can be done on the lake, it can be done at Harbor Docks, and it HAS been done at Harbor Docks.

Again we are sorry for the past couple of weeks. we opened on April 4th and some older menues were being passed out. We have not served catfish this year and it is not on the new menus. however we did receive our new menus and they are now being used this weekend forward. we also have now perfected our new hushpuppies. we appreciate the feedback from everyone. Thank you

Jennie and Chris
