Big wind and rain in the Cooper Creek area last night about midnight. Winds were strong enough to tear the moorings loose from are dock and set the boat adrift. Luckily, looked out this AM to see the boat un damaged in the middle of the lake. Hope others had no damage or losses.

Lost a large outdoor umbrella. My fault left it up. Found in side out about 60 feet up the hill.

Lost 1/2 of a monster hickory tree.  Thankful it fell the 'right way' and no building damage.

CranBob, is your umbrella DOA?  Mine bent over and broke the lower section, but upper is OK.

Definitely DOA. It was new this summer and not a cheap one. Wind must have been pretty strong.

abc....do you need someone to cut up the hickory tree. I use a lot of hickory when I'm smokin' butts, ribs and chicken. Let me know and maybe we can get together and help each other out.

Maddog....I have tried to email you with my phone number, but the site wont send it! Would really appreciate any help, and have enough hickory for you and any others! Any idea how to get in touch?  Try emailing me, maybe you can get it to work!

We are in Holiday Shores area by Emerald Shores.  The storm wind was vicious.  Knocked down limbs on our property - trees on others.  Were without power from about 1:00am Saturday until 2:00pm Sunday.

I need a recommendation for a tree compnay that has the equipment to bring down very tall dead trees that are close to house and without hurting other trees around them.  Will probably require a boom truck or someone who could scale the tree and cut it off from the top down.  We have been lucky so far.........

I've heard Floyd's is good.  Who else?

Thanks!

Dirt

Trees R Us is another local but from my experience just go ahead and call Floyds.  You wont regret it.  Honest, dependable, and do great work.  Whole neighborhhod here has used them in the past and been well pleased.  I couldn't even get an estimate out of the other guys when trying to get some trees on my sisters property down for her.

I've been at the lake for 10 years and have used Floyd's Tree Service many times. I talked with Dusty today at the bank and told him I have another job for them after my garden season is over. They have all the right equipment needed to take care of your job. You can reach Dusty at 256-596-0744 and tell him Maddog asked you to call him.
