This year is in serious competition as the best Lake Summer since I have been here.  We have had a few days of HOT, HOT weather, but for the most part it has been bearable.  July 4th weekend was unbelievable.  I am shocked that the water temps have remained refreshing. Normally by this time of the year it is like warm bath water near the shore, but very refreshing this morning.  Also, the lake level shows 489.55.  Mother Nature and Alabama Power are treating us good.

LNG, as you probably heard (saw) we had a good party for the 4th across the creek. The weather/temp was, man, just glorious... I cannot remember a better Summer either weather wise. Just delightful. Historically, that date is very HOT, sticky and stormy.. or so the Fireworks travelers tell me..

I agree completely. When we went to PikeSki's for his annual shrimp boil and fireworks extravaganza my wife actually had to bring a sweatshirt. Good thing global warming has stopped. I could get used to this.
