I know being redneck is considered desirable in Alabama but last afternoon a pontoon boat passed my house with a large man standing on the back and urinating into the lake. There is probably some public exposure law against this but I really do not appreciate it.

I do not think being a redneck is desirable here in this great state of Alabama. If you do, why did you buy a house here? I know if I felt the way you do, I would move to another state. The guy who came by your house acting inappropriately may have been from another state. Or he may have been from here but that does not mean we all condon bad behavior.

Look at the bright side. It could have been worse. Could have been #2.

Although he may have been both I would feel pretty certain he was drunk.  And yes, urinating in public is against the law.  I'm actually surprised he had the cognitive ability to use the back of the boat and not the front.

When I lived in New Jersey, I fished a deep reservoir with cold water down deep. Periodically, someone fishing would fall out of their boat and drown.  A guy would be fishing alone in a small aluminum with a six pack. They would stand up to pee without a lifejacket and fall overboard.

Ack, what a way to go.  Having grown up in Pennsylvania I can relate to the cold water a few feet below the surface.  Drunk, disoriented and fall into the cold water with the shock on the system and bingo, you are a statistic.  But just a six pack?   I thought you NJ guys were not such lightweights.  We would have a 12 pack of Iron City Beer on the boat in case this happened so our friends would not be making fun at us at the funeral for being such a wimp.  :-)

RedNeckedness is a matter of perception,,, ain't it Ya'll???

And,it involves your background. Heritage. History. Customs. Traditions. Habits.

Your Big Man pissing off the back of a pontoon ain't REDNECK!!

That man pissing off the back of a pontoon boat is a man who needs help from a "Redneck Sponsor" who can correct that boy's bladder problem. Know what I mean???

Fighter pilots have a relief tube....maybe that is what this guy needed.

We did a concession stand at Talladega one year.  When the race was over, we were cleaning up....only nylon netting around the stand, when this guy with a two gallon bladder decided one of the supply outbuildings was too dry.  He went, went.......went, went....and went some more.  When we reminded the guy that he was in sight of ladies his only response was "when ya gotta go ya gotta go".

OK, that story reminds me of the only time my Mom went to the Kentucky Derby.  I went every year when I was in college as we had friends from Lousiville and had a place to stay.  I was always in the infield of course but my Mom and Dad were in the stands.  So she goes down to use the restroom and somehow finds herself in the infield........big mistake.  She notices a group of people standing around this guy laying on his back and she walks over to take a look.  And sure enough he is laying on his back urinating straight up in the air and she immediately thinks, "Oh my God, my son is in here somewhere!!"  Happily it was not me but as soon as I got home she had to tell me her story about the brief excursion into the infield.  What a party.......

Well, you know what they say: What goes up must come down.  And that doesn't leave a pretty picture.  But I guess he was prolly in a state where he really didn't care.

This doesn't just happen at the Lake. Last evening at Bonefish Grill in Montgomery a very well dressed man was taking care of business standing outside his Mercedes !!!
