Proving once again why Billary and the current man child have no business being even considered for POTUS, let alone being elected.  So Russia has flexed its muscles knowing that they have free rein until WOTUS leaves office and four or eight years of the same if Billary gets elected in 2016.

So much for the idiotic "reset" button....oops, I mean "overcharged" button working out now (I mean really, how hard is to find a competent interpreter)?  What a bunch of rank amateurs with no understanding of history.  They love to tell us that this is the 21st century and that these kinds of actions are so last century.  Unfortunately for you both and the rest of the world, Russia, ISIS, al Quada, Hamas, et al didn't get the memo and they understand one undeniable truth.....force matters.  And they will use it regardless of how many speeches or lectures incompetents like Billary or TOTUS give us and the rest of the world.  Had they even a shred of understanding of history they would have not been such arrogant fools.......but alas, their Ivy League education failed them and America once again and the world burns as a result.

Putin is definitely on the move to restore at least part of the former Soviet Union.  Realistically, the Europeans have much more to be concerned about this than we do at the moment, but they have so many financial ties to Russia that they are reluctant to jepordize.  Further, Merkel grew up in Berlin - guess where her sympathies likely lay?

They are addicted to Russia natural gas.  Frankly I have all but given up on Europe.  They grew fat, dumb and self indulgent with the US paying for their national defense and are demographically doomed.  The Muslims will do with birth rate what they could not do by force.  Europe is doomed and they will do nothing about Putin. The US is the only hope for preventing the reassembling of the Soviet Union and with Obama in the White House Putin has free rein.  Now I think we know what Obama meant when he told Medveded that he would have more flexibility after he was reelected. He is a traitor in my opinion and is intent on destroying the US as a world power.

I don't think he is trying to ruin this country as a world power.  I think he is walking a very tight line.  The majority of Americans couldn't find Ukraine on the map, much less be concerned about Russian designs on it.  We are a war-weary country, particularly when there are no readily apparent threats to the U.S. homeland by Russia.  And to "help" the Ukraine will cost the U.S. money that it doesn't have.  I think most people take Putin's saber rattling as just that.  Not that I don't think he needs to be put in his place - and I don't think sanctions are going to do it.   He wants to maintain access to the Black Sea and that particular area of Ukraine is where the have the weapons expertise - not to mention that it is the equivalent to Florida for retired Russians.

I think that Obama, like many democrats, do not trust the military - they don't understand it; nor do they understand the concept of projection of power.  I have every faith that the military has numerous strategies for dealing with Putin, but it remains to be seen if Obama will listen to any of them.

I think you give him way too much credit.  Ukraine is just another in a long line of symptoms of the bigger disease.  If you look at the totality of the picture with Obama, both in words and deeds, I think you can come to no other conlcusion than he sees America as the problem and not a force for good in the world.

He simply has no grasp on reality, hence the nonsensical comments about these countries not acting in a 21st century way as if pointing that out to them will change anything.  Even the WaPo and NYT recently questioned his grip on the reality of the world and what happens when we abdicate to tyranny.  I believe he detests the western world and the US in particular and his goal is to remove us from the world stage as a force for good.  As he does that people like Putin and groups like ISIS will fill the void.  That is the way it has always been and that is the way it will always be until the end of the age.

I'm not giving him credit - I don't care for the way he conducts foreign policy.  But, I don't think that he has a plan to take the U.S. off the world stage.  My feeling is that he is so domestically centered he doesn't really have a realistic sense of the foreign policy.  And having Kerry has his primary face to the rest of the world is a mistake.  Hagle is not much better.

We will definitely have to agree to disagree on his motiviation but we completely agree that his cast of foreign policy help are not helpful.....which is a nice way of saying totally incompetent.

When I think of Kerry I think pompous and arrogant.  When I think of Hagel I think drunk.  When I think of Obama I think of one who never experienced a good ole country boy a$$ whooping on a typical grade school playground.

You may be right about that.
