Friday night the 19th went to Harbor Docks just like we do every Friday night I'm at lake. Under staffed but I no hurry Jennie sat us and took drink order and appatizer. Finally had to ask to to order meal. Amberjac and shrimp very good but my friend a weekly customer had Tuna and was not happy with it.Chris's wife Jennie came over and we explained about Tuna. She said they had served it to others with no complaints that my friend must be sick and offered to fix him something else. He declined. At that point he requested it be removed from the check. Jennie then rude brought the $ 98 ticket put it on the table and walked off. No thank you I'm sorry nothing. If we were first time coustmers maybe but he goes every Friday from April till the close for the year. His tab is always over $100.the sad thing is he is a loyal coustmers and will be back next Friday. No Tuna.

I suspect that your friend just got a bad piece of fish.  But my question is why one would continue to frequent a restaurant where one is treated rudely?  Why be loyal to such a restaurant?

I asked the same question. He works hard all week and in Friday he and his family like to go out to eat and the boat ride is a bonus. Also usually the service and food are great . However last night they were not and instead of simply apologizing she said he must be sick that others had eaten it with no complaints. Also that fish had been dilivered that day. Whatever the reason he was unhappy with it and ask it be removed from check. By the way in talking to him last night he has spent over $20,000 over the past three years there. Remember the customer is always right even if you don't agree.

Too bad to hear about your bad review.  I was there Friday night, as well, and had a TNT burger, bang bang shrimp, and my wife had a chicken sandwich.  Amazing meal, as always.  Keep up the great work!

I was also there Fri night. We enjoyed our meal and had a very pleasant server. We were told that they were going to stay open until Dec but that a couple of the servers had been given notice that it was their last night. So, the service is going to get slower.....

Slower service? How is that possible??

I love the place and wish it would do booming business 12 months of the year, but it has a huge drawback that keeps us from going more often, and that's the service. I swear that someties the servers are also making their own drinks and cooking the food, too.

I know it's an issue with other places on the lake too; I wish Greg Cecil would tell them what his secret was. He ran his place on the lake for more than 10 years and I don't recall ever noticing a problem with the wait staff. (And the Kowaliga Cecil's was usually much much busier than any restaurant I've been to in a long time, which just makes today's problems seem even worse.) So it CAN be done.

I try not to reply to negative posts most of the time it opens a can of worms.

I will address a couple complaints in this feed . We apologize to Russ if Jennie came across rude and short .

Russ has been a customer every night for almost 3 years we appreciate his business. And will do our best to make sure his tuna

is perfect next time..

As to the service and short staffing. I know everyone knows how hard the restaurant business is being just

You typical restaurant, Along with that challenge we are seasonal 90% of our staff we employee 4 months.

So as every year around mid Sept we lose a huge part of our staff they see the end of the road and they

are not making the money or getting the hours they did 2 weeks prior so some quit without notice  , find other jobs  etc etc .

Starting last year we were open until Dec 31 Just Jennie out front and me in the Kitchen trying to build the winter

business It went very well ...  and yes Jennie was making drinks an serving .  Everyone was so understanding thanks to all ..

With all that said next year will be our 7 th year and we have grown the busniess every year . We our a family busniess and dont have the unlimeted resources that some restaurants have ......we do our best to serve good food and have good service . And thanks to all who have maid 2014 our best year yet .....

Chris and Jennie
