I wanted to give McGill a few of these late season tomatoes, but Catboat said if I did I would never see my boat again.

To late EM.  LNG also tells me that Lil' Talisi does all your cooking for you.  And, you of course claim the goodness.  I think that is why you NEVER except a cooking challenge from me.

LNG.....if McGill can't take them, I'll be happy to buy them from you. I made some pickled green tomatoes with my late season crop and they were a hit within the family. I need to make another batch and I will share with you. Please let me know.

Yes, Maddog, we have a deal.  I don't see enough growing season for most of the green ones to get ripe, so you have a good option.  I should have several of different sizes.  Do you pickle the larger ones?  We can go halves.

LNG.....thanks for the reply. Yes I will take all sizes. I cut them in guarters and the larger ones I'll cut to size. Depending on how many you have, I can do pints or quarts and we will go halves. Shot me an e-mail with your phone/cell number and I will get with you to set up a time for the picking. If it meets with your schedule, I'd like to get started on this project this morning. Let me know what you think.

Would you be willing to share your recipe for the pickled green tomatoes? I have a younger brother who always has a lot of green tomatoes left at the end of the season. Your recipe would be appreciated.

Y'all are making me hungry, I respectfully volunteer to sample a jar (or 2). ML, you should can some with your peppers for a spicy varity!  When my new kitchen is finished, I'll host a "sampling" party for these and some other culinary delights for those interested in participating.....we all know Cat won't show; he never does.....

New kitchen. That might be the ticket. Cats are sneaky but he might not be able to refuse this one

I think he's having a midlife crisis....we need to organize a redneck intervention.

I received your email. The delay in your response was not a problem since it will be next season before my brother will have green tomatoes again. My wife erased the email before I could reply to you; however, I did make a copy. Thanks again for the information.
