First of all does anyone think Pete Carroll got any sleep last night?  I think not.  You have one of the best backs in football, you have a 2nd and goal at the 1, you have two timeouts and you have 0:40 to score a TD.......and the OC calls a passing play.  I give credit to Carroll for accepting responsibility for that call and for lamely trying to defend it but it will go down as the worst call in Super Bowl history.....beyond a doubt in my mind.  Other than that point of priceless stupidity it was a pretty good game to watch, especially for a Super Bowl.  As an avid Steeler's fan I was surpised that once Pittsburgh was out of the playoffs they didn't just call the rest of it off.  Seemed so pointless to me.  :-)

I am waiting for the claims of cheating by the Patriots, and given their history it would not surprise me if it was true.  Here's hoping it doesn't happen.  Have to give credit to the Patriots defense in the 3rd and early parts of the 4th quarter.  One more TD and Seattle could have run the clock out in the 4th but they held and forced punts.  Officiating was pretty good although I did think they missed an interference call on the Pats when they tripped a Seattle receiver.  May have been unintentional but nonetheless it should have been called.

Now for the important stuff....the commercials and halftime show......meh!  Other than the neat graphics I would rather listed to Tom Petty than what they showed.  Commercials were OK but none really grabbed me.  I did like the positive father-based Toyota commercials.

I agree; that play call would not even be made in junior high football. What about the young rookie who made the interception? He had just broke up a pass on the 3 yard line, only to have it fall into the receivers hands as he lay flat on his back. The rookie had only played in a few downs the entire year. He was selected as a free agent from the University of West Alabama{ a small school in Livingston. Alabama}. When interviewed, he said he had a vision that he was going to do something great. Boy, did he ever? His name is Malcolm Butler, and it was a joy to see something so unusual as this happen to such a deserving young man. He had attended junior college in Mississippe before being signed to play at West Alabama. I am an Alabama fan, and I wish Alabama had pursued him for his last two years. They could have certainly used him to shore up their defensive secondary. I have a grandson who is a sophomore at West Alabama and I am sure they are celebrating today. It was a great way for them to get their name in the headlines.

The last play was like a book where the kidnappers hold some family members and the coach had to let the Patriots win.

The key to the demise of the Seattle defense was when their defensive back Jeremy Lane went out with a concussion. The Patriots really took advantage and his replacement was beat for 3 touchdowns.

The refs missed the running into kicker against Seattle. You can't run into the planted foot which the Patriot player did for all to see.

Budweiser is always a great Super Bowl commercial. The one for Hillary 2016 was neat especially with all the red, white, and blue ballons. You must have been on a pee break and missed it.

I was surprised Boston did not have Butler on the stand when they accepted the trophy. They had 3 offensive players and no defensive.

LOL on the kidnapping thing.  No kidding.  Also agree on running into the kicker but I have gotten to the point where kickers are like soccer players that flop around to try to get a card so I didnt key on it.  Either way it was a better game than many of the previous ones but it just kills me how it ended, especially with the amazing catch that up the end of the game.
