Yes, I think you are right.  It's a shame what has happened to our cities.  We're rotting from the inside out.  Maybe they should legalize pot and levy a tax to be used for funding pension funds.  I understand that things are booming in the states where pot has been made legal.

Why not address the real problem (s) in the cities and all over our country. Why not  legislation to create jobs (ie, CCC, etc), lower corporate taxes, trim welfare hangers ons, and get waste out of the cities, states, and federal government. Legalizing pot sounds Obaamish.

Civilian Conservation Corp. funding used to help create work to allow men to work for pay during the Depression. Many of the roads and rock walls in the Smokies were built by the CCC. Therefore, Legislation for jobs.

if even the suggestion of funding such a program was ascribed to Obama or any other politician with a D after their name??!! Where do you get such crazy ideas waterph? What are you, some kind of socialist?

Actually, with the decaying condition of the infrastructure of this country today we could use an updated CCC, but with Grover Norquist's pulling the GOP strings against NO taxes for NO things for NO people it ain't gona happen even if we all get enveloped by a sinkhole where America used to be.  We all want "good stuff" but don't want to pay for it.
