Just a testament to my experience,,pass on by if you ain't interested. IDGAS.

I have an HP tower with 6GB ram and 1TB hard drive memory. I prefer and use Mozilla Firefox browser. The processor never runs over about 40% capacity and no problem with memory.

My machine slowed down big time over time, especially on a re-start. I dumpted an Anti-virus and I had with no improvement. I loaded a "cleaner program" with no improvement. Ready to kill it and start over with a new machine.

So, why not? I went on-line and deleted/upgraded the latest version of Mozilla (thought I had auto updates, latest version,,wrong). Zip,,zong,, my machine improved big time. Loading/performance really improved quickly. Just an idea....

I had become totally frustrated with Internet Explorer and Google Chrome. I switched to Mozilla Firefox and am having considerably less problems.

Internet Explorer has problems. Just recently switched to Mozilla Firefox. So have several of my friends. Problems disappeared after switch.

Mozilla has major problem with one of the Adobe flash players.  It will lock down when it hits a page that auto loads video.  I have downloaded a couple of patches and changed some settings per a Google search.  It has apparently corrected the problem temporarily but for some reason it will start again and I have to go through the process over again.  Been a thorn in my side for several months now.

Exactly the thorn in my side as well.

The Geeks need to get busy on this one.  I suspect this problem is bigger than we think.

Vista 32 with NVIDIA video card.  The video card/software may be causing some problem.

If you are having problems with Shockwave plugin crashes, Mozilla support has some suggestions at:

As long as I have been working on computers ( 16 years ) never once has changing to a different browser made a computer boot faster. I use internet explorer 11 with windows 7 pro and it is fast. Your computer has other problems. Probably malware or rootkits.

Did't say I changed browsers. I deleted the Mozilla loaded on my box and downloaded another copy of Mozilla Firefox from the net. Perhaps the old copy had some settings that caused the problems. Whatever the cause, both the booting time and the access time to sites on the net are much, much faster.

Anytime.  That was the problem I was having, primarily when I was watching Rush on the "ditto cam."
