From the video, it doesn't look good.   Even a light knife at that distance poses no threat.

I suppose he was told to drop the knife and did not quick enough   -  he was likely po'ed about something.

Saw this on the news last night.  Just read an article that said reports were he had "resisted arrest".  No body cams on the police.  Interesting to see how this plays out.  Sure doesn't look good from the video.

Yep, that looked real bad to me.  No doubt the guy was not being cooperative at first but he clearly had his hands up when they shot him. I suspect that some sherrif's deputy is going to prison over this one.  I guess the only good news is that the guy wasn't black so we won't have to listen to Al Sharpton and his ilk or the radicals from the black lives matter crowd.  Other than that, this is bad.....

Cold blooded murder . No regard for human life . Grab his arm and flop him over to see if he is dead . He probably was issued a command  that was something like get down on your knees . When he did not comply with that order he was shot like a rabid dog .Soldiers at war . The friendlies are the conservative conformists . Everybody else is the enemy to be preyed upon . Typical of a fascist police state . The officer that pulled up and threw riot shield out on the ground was already in cover up mode . the ambulance guys did not seem concerned offering  aid to a injured human being either . Psycopaths in control. 

Many police officers across the country pick out people to pull over based on their appearance . They make up excuces like his window tint was possibly too dark or he had a tennis ball on his trailer hitch that partially obscured his license plate or that old standby , He crossed the center line a little in a curve . Then it is anything goes including a complete shakedown serch of people and vehicles to see if they can come up with anything that will give them an excuse to take any cash they have , confiscate their vehicles and throw in jail so the bondsmen and lawyers and courts can all make some money too . If nothing is found in these seaches then they just walk away and leave you to worry about putting your car back together without  even an apology As a former grand juror I have seen it happen time and time again .

any one who has ever said anything like " well if you are not doing anything wrong and are a complete conservative conformist you don't need to worry about the routine total disregard of your civil liberties " then you are helping the country and the world move towards a fascist police state
