Well, well, well.......it turns out that long after all the demands for all Clinton emails someone directed their newly uncovered backup firm to reduce the length of the backups from permanent since inception to only 30 days.  My, my, my, this is a very interesting development.  Money quote from an email at the backup company below:

"It was here that a Platte River employee voiced suspicions about a cover-up and sought to protect the company. “If we have it in writing that they told us to cut the backups,” the employee wrote, “and that we can go public with our statement saying we have had backups since day one, then we were told to trim to 30 days, it would make us look a WHOLE LOT better,”. (Source: McClatchey news article)

So let's see, Richard Nixon resigned the Presidency as a result of a few missing minutes in tapes about the attempted cover up of a third rate burglery and Hillary is the presumptive nominee for the Democrats?!?!?  How far they have fallen in their standards.   The soft bigotry of low expectations for our black president and apparently none for our potential first woman president.  One can only imagine what they will give us next.

Where did you read this?  I didn't see it in any news coverage today and I would like to read it.

You are not alone as the govt media is in embargo mode on this.  This looks really bad because the request to change the backup protocol came after the State Dept requested her emails.  Someone clearly gave this a lot of thought and decided the best alternative was to change so old emails would not be retained and could not be given to State or the FBI or Congress.

What is ironic is that about five years ago because of legal requirements we had to spend a lot of money to make sure we retained backups of all emails for a period of five years.  And this is only to be able to respond to a subpeona related to litigation, which may or may not even occur.  To not do is is the equivalent of destroying evidence in a civil or criminal legal matter.  I can assure you that those backed up emails contained tons of classified information being retained on yet another unclassified private server (her backup firm).  Yet another source for foreign governments to obtain our secrets beyond the server in the bathroom closet.  To me this is just unbelievable and probably yet another violation of law.  And it looks like someone tried to cover it up.  Nixon must be rolling over in his grave.....

MM compares the current Clinton scandals ( and let's be clear there is probably fire along with smoke ) to the Watergate Nixon scandals and the result and concludes that the Democrats standards have fallen. nice to see Mm apparently once admired the Democrat's ethics.  I agree that their standards are way down...almost into GOP territory.

BTW: Old Rep Jody (no woman should run for public office without her husband's approval) Hice may be in trouble.  He had been included in the criminal investigation involving his preseason and supporter Paul (the theory of evolution and the Big Bang theory are damnible lies straight out of Hell) Broun.

Politics as usual.  We will not get a better class of politician until we have a better class of voters. Of course, the current County CEO who is at the center of the corruption investigation was not elected...he was appointed by our Republican governor (not a shining example of ethical behavior himself) to replace an elected crook who is now in jail.  You see, with me I want all the crooks and crazies out regardless of their ideology and frankly, that is not the case with many of the folks on this forum...IMHO! The esteemed MM himself has recently said as much.

In fact I think Lee May is very shady and should resign but he is probably not nearly as crooked as Mr Bowers tries to convey in his report The Report is basically true but by being so overly inflammatory it loses a lot of it's credence. The loud demands and condemnation contained in the report frankly do not mesh with the actual compilation of questionable actions. One might remember also, it became public that married Attorney Gen Bowers was having an affair with a staffer at the same time he was preaching morality while defending Georgia's sodomy laws.  None of the principals involved on any side from the governor to former AG Bowers to Acting CEO May should be held up as a shining example of public service.
