tell Ben Carson where to put it!

He now is lying about his lies. He says he never "actually said 'I was offered a full scholarship to West Point'.'' In fact he did say it three times in print and at least once on video! Is his entire life story fiction?

Now l am not all that concerned that he is lying and then lying about those lies...today all politicians lie (and he is now a politician regardless of what he claims).  I am very concerned that this man could become president of the United States...this man who lies about a lot of things but who might be telling the truth when he says he will base his actions on his religious beliefs while ignoring the facts of science.

If, God forbid, this con-artist is elected we all better bone up on the Book of Revelation!

I'm surprised that he would lie about such trivial and easily verifiable things.  I am seriously baffled that he appeals to so many people.

I believe Carson is just preaching for his choir and probably doesn't believe the things he says . He is just solidifying  the voter base of the republicans  ; the conservative conformists who seek consensus only of their group and are not interested in reality or logic or science or anything that reguires cognitive ability above the jr. highschool level . He must know that the Republicans will never give the nomination to any other than a white male anglo saxon . I believe his intent is to gather in the pro -Huckabee type voters and then throw his support in the end to one of the extreme right tea party fascists . The right wing strategy has always been to tell their voter market what they believe they want to hear to get them to vote for them and then , when they they get the power to control the public wealth , to do as they please and tell the public nothing .

My post was flagged as inapproprite for no reason other than some conservative conformist fascist does not want any information made available other than their propaganda .

I think yall are barking at the wrong tree this time.  It may not have been written exactly right but I have no doubt that representatives assured Carson they could get him a free ride to West Point, and that he understood it as a full scholarship offer.  It was!  I was fortunate to play some decent basketball in High School.  I had folks assure me that they could get me in West Point to play.  My goals in life were elsewhere and I did not pursue.  But the offer was there, no matter what I choose to call it.

Now for Carson's stabbing of a friend/family member.  If I have a choice between believing Carson and believing Politico/msnbc, then I will choose Carson.  Is he a good choice to be president, no, but better than what we have, and better than current dem front liar.

Based on the revelations in recent weeks, if it is said about or by Ben Carson I would strongly recommend seeking confirmation from an unbiased source* before accepting it as gospel.

* Steven Crowder is ostensibly a comic but he also has political opinions and a conservative following and is NOT an unbiased source, he is also noted for his satire...hummm wonder if you have been "taken" au67?

I enjoy satire, parody and humor.  This thread needed a little of that.

There is no such thing as a "scholarship" to West Point.  If you are lucky enough to get accepted, your cost is your military obligation after graduation.

He also lied about Westmoreland.  Westmoreland was never at the function that Carson claims where he met him.

But how about the grain storage in the Pyramids?  How come none of his friends can confirm his "angry young man" phase?  I have a feelign that Ben Carson wrote a book containing some revisionist history of his life - maybe he felt he would be more inspiring. But once you put yourself in the arena, you better expect the lions.

How is it that the records of someone seeking the office of Presidency of the United States can have their records sealed? Is that not evidence within itself that a person is hiding something that would be detrimental to his election as President? How did we as a people become so naieve to trust such a person to become our President?

Though I like the story and think a lot of Joseph, I can't buy Carson's association of him with the pyramids.  As to who Carson might have met, or not met, I guess everyone has a "we were shot at as we flew into ____(name the place)" exaggeration story.

As I said, the West Point appointment can be called different things, but I do not doubt Carson's recollection of what was "offered" and said "we could arrange".  He, at that time, was looking for a scholarship (aka paid education ride).

That's easy for me...look at who was running against him.

Now, as for Obama's records being "sealed", take a look at Factcheck.org report on 7/31/12. No Obama records are "sealed" which by definition is a Judge's order that items usually public are not to be released to the public...no such order exists for any records from Obama's past.  Obama has released records that are typically released by public figures.  He released more records than George W Bush or Mitt Romney.

It is always interesting to observe the gullibility of so many on this forum when it comes to ANY negative claim about Barack Obama and their inability to accept even verified negative facts about their political favorites.

Your beloved o-BAMMIE has made every possible effort to prevent release of any records of his obviously criminal past.  No, a judge has not "sealed" the records,  o-BAMMIE did it himself which is much worse.  Please provide proof on your BS claim that o-BAMMIE has provided more info on his background than Bush or Romney.....real proof, not your usual shuck and jive.....

You mean if someone said it on the internet, it might not be true???? Shocking, simply shocking.    I find it interesting that people still take the time to disparage Obama.  He's on his way out.  History will judge his Presidency (GWB was right when he said this about his own presidency).  People need to be more concerned about who will be the next President.

O.K. how is this for a change of subject . Clinton is no more likely to win the election than Jiohn McCain was . They both can and could take a loss for their team simply because they can afford it in moneteary costs and political career costs . It looks like Marco Rubio is the man for the job . i really thought it would be Jeb but his brother's legacy is to great a detriment to overcome in the eyes of the public . Rubio has the Latin thing going for him as well as being tolerable to both the extreme right T-party wackos and the mainstream Republicans  . The latter group is probably not to keen on the Latin heritage issue but most of them know that it would be a big help to their side to be able to capture some of the Latino voter market . he would probably be tolerable to those of  the T-party bunch who have enough sense to realize that one of their extremist new comers is not likely to win and could even throw the election to Clinton if they pushed it . Then ,after 8 years of inflation and graft under the regime of the right the pendulum will swing again and most of you can whine about the socialists again .
