With his latest proclamation, the media is just furious, and two days later they are still going on about it.  Note, he has not been elected, he's not in the Oval Office to enact a ban on Muslims entering the country, but he certainly has the media's s attention.  Watching the morning news shows, journalists and talking heads are falling all over one another in condeming him.  The other Republican candidates (except Ted Cruz) are calling for his ouster, saying he should be banned from running, that he is unhinged.  Instead, Trump's poll numbers have gone up (because he is saying what so many people apparently are thinking) and he's getting even more free media, while the other Republicans can barely get a mention.

You probably already know this, but, Trump,s proposal is already the law of the land.......used by Jimmy Carter in 1979 during the hostage crisis.

The law was passed in 1952 by a dem house and a dem senate and signed into law by a dem Pres!

Too funny about all the hyperventilating going on.

Note: am not and don,t anticipate supporting the Trumpster........

Does anyone here think that the Constitution is a suicide pact just because there is a refugee crisis going on, and that we as American,s don,t have the right to self protect?

Every time his poll numbers slide a bit or get stuck he says something he surely knows will be controversial.  The media, including the conservative media go apoplectic and his numbers rise.  I still believe he has a ceiling of around 35% and won't be the nominee but he does regularly skewer sacred cows that need skewering.  I wish he had said it a little differently but the response would have been about the same.  He has to love all the free publicity.  Talk about the media being useful idiots...

I agree with Hound.  When the big money establishment donors stop giving him money he will walk away.  His Super PAC has spent tens of millions on ads with very little to show for it.  I am frankly msytified what his end game is because he will not be the nominee and won't even be competitive.  Expect him to bail after the early primaries unless he does much better than projected by the polls.
