It looks like we are beginning to see the end of Trump, or at least a change in the arc of his success.  He looks like he is at a crucial tipping point and will now start a more pronounced decline in public support.

It appears to me that his over-confidence in the magnitude of his support has led him to think he does not need the cooperation of the Republican Party, nor it’s donor network.  He hasn’t developed an internal fund raising staff and clearly thought that he could command the entire GOP to put all their resources at his bidding after the primaries.  He has always been extremely over-confident, but what we see now is that he is also uninterested in forming the cooperative political relationships that are critical to leading his own party, much less an entire government.   He has based his campaign on his belief that he is the greatest, most loved and revered candidate in generations… a huge over-estimation of his status in the eyes of the American public.

At present, the Trump campaign reports they have about $2.5 million in cash on hand.   This weekend, a fund-raising effort announced they had a need of $100,000 in ‘emergency funding’.   I believe I read that at this time in 2012, Romney had closer to $100 million in his own campaign account, and this did not including the deep pockets of the GOP itself.  In the end, Romney & the GOP combined had spent $1.24 billion.

Here’s a thought.   Democrats have opposed the Citizen’s United ruling because it created a vast increase in the funding dollars needed to elect a President.   We opposed it because we thought it simply promote the ultra-rich class as our political leaders, and decrease the number of ‘other people’ who should also run for office.  Ironic as it is, I wonder if the Trump fiasco will make everyone reconsider whether unlimited campaign spending is really a good idea.     For instance, if campaign spending was more limited… Donald’s hand would be stronger because he really could come closer to self-funding a general campaign.

I wonder if this will make some conservatives reconsider the wisdom of  having removed those spending limits on Presidential campaigns.

Going forward, I also wonder if Trump’s strategy of getting free media attention by making wild, bombastic statements every week is wearing thin… like boring summer reruns eventually cause us to quit watching TV.

First the following questions need to be answered:

1.  Has the current "Citizens" ruling helped The Hilda B____h more than Trump?   YES

2.  Who owns the H-B?  All major contributors to H-B for speeches plus $$payola

3.  How many of the owners of H-B are from foreign countries?  Bunches

4. Who has bought and paid for Trump?  NO ONE

5.  Who is Trump beholden to?  NO ONE

6.  What is your point?______________________________________

Copper you really need to think through your blatantly ridiculously stupid comments.  We are beginning to get embarrassed for you.  Come on man.....

You come across as an angry old white man who is pizzed cause he is backing a loser and liar. Even Martini refuses to defend Trump...he has given up and limits himself to seeking advice on the Lake Martin topic.

According to Fortune, "With the Republican nomination all but secured, Trump has changed his tune for the general election. Trump is suddenly looking to build a major fundraising operation, complete with donors and super PACs, rather than self-funding, as he’s boasted time and again that he is doing."

Trump has loaned his campaign money and has paid the bills for use  of his corporate airplane and facilities with his own loaned money. He covered this in 2000:  Trump told Fortune, “It's very possible that I could be the first presidential candidate to run and make money on it.” Raking in donations and then paying himself back—with interest—would be one good way to do that, in addition to payments to himself for services rendered."

He can't even manage his campaign...

What is your point?______________________________________

He fired his campaign manager today at the urging of his children.  Apparently it was his strategy to let Trump be Trump and he was behind some of Trumps more outrageous remarks.

No truth to the headlines that NRA and Trump have split.  The only thing that they were disagreeing about was whether people going into a night club shoud be allowed to bear arms.  But Trump has now adjusted that to armed guards.

I don't think there is a Trump flame out. I think what you are seeing is a transition from a preconvention candidate to a presumed nominee.

I read all kinds of wild articles in the press.  Most of it is not true.

THe Trump campaign announced months ago that he would be raising money to pay for his campaign after the primaries....if you would read real news you would know that.  My point to Copperhead is he (she) (it) tries to attack Republicans and Trump on issues that his Hilda The B----h has absolutely slaughtered any pretext of good ethics.  I really hate to see liberals spout the Hilda talking points without ANY KNOWLEDGE of the real truth.  Trump certainly is not the perfect candidate, but compared to Hilda he is the only choice for the future of our nation.

After following the press comments and information about the AR-15, I have realized that they have no respect for the truth.  It's pretty clear that they want Hilary to win and that they are anti-Trump, so anything they write about him will be negative.

Trump started the negative approach to the media when he went after FOX reporter Kelly during the first debate. Refusing  credentials to Washington Post reporters is what dictators do. It is not how democracy handles bad press. He is a real danger to democracy. If Hillary did that the Right would be all over her for acting like a Nazi.

AND, the NRA has changed their position so Trump needs to catch up....."But, now the NRA has backed off with a statement from the President..."Later, LaPierre wrote on social media he meant that he had no objection to people carrying guns in bars and restaurants, as long as they didn't plan on drinking.""

Trump needs to THINK before he speaks.

Every one needs to think before they speak.  Hilary too.
