Because you would probably be accused of inhibiting their right to assemble whereever and whenever they want. 

I'm beginning to think we should just let them protest with no police.  None whatsoever.  And if it turns into a riot and they destroy property so be it.  If people get hurt, they will just have to live with it.  File lawsuits and try to find the perpetrator. 

I've spent days on social media, debating with black friends and white friends, police supporter and police haters. The police are in a no win situation so maybe the best thing would be for them to withdraw.  Let the protesters and the rioters, deal with U.S. citizens and let the citizens deal with the protesters and rioters. 

I support the police.  I think I would have shot the guy in Baton Rouge.  I'm not so sure about the guy in St. Paul.  Despite the cell phone videos, there is still much that is not known about the sitution.  But some have already decided to be judge and jury.
