Are you really an architect? Or are you like George Costanza on Seifeld.........a wannabe architect? Just asking.

I am a real architect registered in 1971 in GA. Used to also be licenced in NC and FL but let those lapse. I have a small (very small by intention today) practice doing mostly houses, major additions and renovations and, my favorite, historic preservation. I even designed a house on Lake Martin and on Lake Wedowee but will not say where because both owners from Atlanta are not right wing nuts (in fact one of them by invitation attended the 2008 inauguration) and I do not want them tarred and feathered and run back across the GA line on a rail.

Frank Lloyd Wright was approached by the Kaufman family and shown a site where they wanted a house built looking across the creek at a beautiful waterfall. Wright had the arrogance and the talent to perform a miracle and place the house, not to look at the waterfall, but to enhance an become a part of the waterfall! By almost all accounts he was a very unpleasant human being with a miraculous talent for design!
I don't think I have the arrogance or the talent he displayed throughout his life. My efforts are perhaps as pleasing to me as Wright's were to him, but are a bit more modest....less expensive too I might add...it has been estimated that Falling Water would cost 15 million plus to build today as is and millions more if built completely to current codes!
